You can't do epic [stuff] with basic people

Post by EA7649 »

That's what DeSean Jackson had to say.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2270 ... -instagram

Whether he personally believes it, I do. whether he is quoting Robert, probably that too.
Robert didn't play well (even when he had the chances too make throws), oline was awful giving him no time in the pocket, defense was bad.

2 things, first I've been a Robert fan. I feel that you can't say he is great because of his skills and rookie year and you can't say he is bad because of the play of his teammates.

The link has the discussion about the picture DeSean posted, media interpretation, Brian Mitchel giving a good video analysis on the team and Fred Smoot uttering the the same words over and over again

Thoughts?

He was absolutely addressing Griffin. Gruden admitted it in the presser today.

My bad I didn't see there was a post about Mitchel speaking about the team. Feel free to discuss the rest I posted.

If that is the case do you think he is mocking Robert or still is on his side?

Link? Quote? Just curious. I haven't seen that anywhere.

Sorry I meant to say Gruden admitted it in the presser today.

Here's some excerpts:

"I think he [DJax] was upset a little bit about what came out with Robert. I think one of the headlines was 'Robert throws the team under the bus.' Robert, whatever he said, got twisted around a little bit, and I addressed it in the meeting room. It's our job in house as players and coaches make sure we say the right things and not give anybody the opportunity to twist your words. Otherwise it'll be he said/she said things and twitter wars and social media events that get out of control, and we've got to put a stop to it now.

Robert needs to understand he needs to worry about himself number 1 and not everybody else. It's his job to worry about his position, his footwork, his fundamentals, his reads, his progressions, his job at the quarterback position. It's MY job to worry about everybody else. Yes, everybody else needs to improve, there's no question about it, but it's not his place. His place is to talk about himself and he knows that. He just elaborated a little too much."

Honeymoon's over.

Bssed off the tweets in that article what Dianna Marie Russini. Maybe DeSean won't be a RG3 supporter anymore, I think it was real talk from what he said, but Gruden was smart to say you wory about the qb position and I'll worry about everyone else. It must be tough for him bc all the pressure piles on Robert.

I'm pretty sure the WR core were the ones who didn't want to switch from McCoy to Griffin. DJAX is probably in that camp now, too.

Thanks, yeah that makes some sense. Jackson's comment about "basic people" was a little hard to understand, wasn't entirely sure if he was talking about talent or character.

Huh.. Djax retweeted RGiii explaining himself and how people twisted his words. Another article suggests that Djax was supporting Rg and was calling outthe rest of the team who played like crap. Ala oline and ssafetys

I agree that Jackson's post was cryptic, I'm guessing intentionally so. ("Basic people" as a term doesn't even make sense.) Obviously a passive aggressive jab. OK, get it out of your system, DeSean. Feel better?

It should be noted that Gruden really took a firm stance on this publicly and, from what we're hearing, privately with Robert and the team. Brian Mitchell had praise for Gruden, and frankly this whole episode appears to have subsided for the time being. Nice to see.

I'm thinking he meant "basic people" as non-skill position players. I took him to mean, The skill position players can't produce without the non-skill position people playing well.
