The past few seasons we got the shaft too. Bogus. That's OK though, our team will be ready for each game this year...

For the past few years now, the previous year's record has NOTHING to do with who's on your schedule. Eight of the 10 non-division opponents are identical for every team in the NFC East. (the only ones that are different are Tampa and San Fran -- and that's because they finished in the same place in their division, third, that the Redskins did)

i'm with you "redskinscity"..we win 9 games with this schedule, we're in good shape!! We have a good number of televised games too(good for me since i'm on the west coast...Too bad they don't come to San Fran till like week 15 tho'... DANG thats a long wait!!!

they just annouced that we are ranked 20th in schedule difficulty and Dallas and Philli are 29th and 31st. Tell me how in the hell did that happen when we were 5-11 and those two went to the playoffs.

This is BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, our schedule is rated 20th in difficulty, while the Pukes have the 32nd...

The two easiest schedules are the Eagles (31st) and the Pukes (32nd). And they both made the playoffs last year. Easgles made the Championship games the last three seasons. Go figure.

Nothing seems insurmountable with Gibbs around, though.

Gibbs just said, "that he looked at the svhedule and wish he were still in Nascar!!!"

I can't wait until the monday night game against dallas :!:
I know the stadium is going to be overflowing but i hope it's not the usual half and half with their fans

What the!? I wanted a Christmas Day, Christmas Eve game! They have them this year. We don't even get a Turkey Day game. The league really does hate us. Just like the referees hate us.

Wish we were the Pats so we got games on every holiday and were never called for defensive pass interference.

Gibbs said he's scared to play the Cowboys, lets...ummm, lets bring spurrier back  !!! LOL

Aw man, with Gibbs back, that thought won't cross anyone's mind anymore. It definitely won't be half and hafl. No more FedUp Field!

Bad records NO LONGER MEAN easy schedules! There is no correlation between the two any more!

The other teams' schedules are easier because they're PLAYING the Redskins!

For instance, we already know who and where 14 of the 16 games for 2005 are going to be. Only the fates of the 2004 season will determine whether it's an easy schedule or a hard one.

 The Cardinals have a schedule making our schedule looking like a piece of cake!

Excellent!

This schedule is great. Here's why:

In the last five games of the season, we get all three NFC opponents, plus two other NFC teams - meaning the schedule sets the Skins up to make their own destiny in those five games. I like that. It gives the Skins the full season to come together - lets say going 6-5 - and then taking control of the division with the traditional 4-1 late season run Gibbs coached teams make.

Some other good things:

We get an indoor team - Vikes - at home in Jan. for our last game.

We don't play philly for the first time until the 10th game.

Our first game against the Cowboys is at home.

Four of our first six games are against teams in rebuilding years, Tampa, NYG, Chicago, Cleveland. And the other two - Dallas, Baltimore - have suspect QB's.

We only have two division games before the bye-week, which will allow the coaches time to tweak before the heavier part of the schedule.

After the bye-week, we play three teams that are 9-7 teams at best, Green Bay, Detroit, Cincy.

We only play two games indoors - Dallas, Detroit.

Kids, kids...
You have to remember that two teams in our division made the playoffs. That's four games (a full quarter of the schedule), right there. It brings us up in "difficulty". However, when they rank the Philly and Dallas schedule, we're on there four times, and we were 5-11. That makes us "easy games" in the ranking, since it's based on last season. Everybody in our division has to play most of those teams.
Relax. If we're worth a damn, we'll get through it.

Dallas was a fluke last year and this year they will lose twice to the Skins. That puts them out of the playoffs. ( A little wishful thinking, but it could happen.) I have faith in Coach.

Yeah, Chris. Right.
I know you know what Joe is doing when he says something like that, so I won't insult your knowledge by going into it here.
All the same, let's not even mention that other name in the same sentence as Joe Gibbs. It's a near-sacrilege.

Your schedule doesnt look that bad.

Of course Philadelphia and Dallas are going to have remarkably easy schedules "on paper". They each get 4 games with teams that finished 4th and 5th worst last season. Both teams have new coaches and are expected to be much better this season though.

Dallas seems to make up for an easy strength of schedule with some of the oddest scheduling that I've ever seen. I wonder who the brain surgeon is who decided that a January game at NY should be a night game?

I've seen reports that it's the first schedule since the 16 game season without any back to back road games.
