What I think the Skins will do in the draft...

I think we end up trading down and taking a D-linemen. In the end it is going to take too much to get Gallery. KW2 (aka Soldier) has bad agents and a worse attitude. Also, Sean Taylor reportedly looked out of shape in his workout (although I think he ends up being a stud).

People I could see Gibbs going after would be Tommie Harris, Kenechi Udeze, or Will Smith. We still need help in the defensive trenches, and any of these guys would be a nice addition to the rotation. Plus we could pick up another 2nd round pick or something. This is such a deep draft, we really need to pick up another pick or two in the first day.

I think that is a real possibilty but I think the team is leaning towards the sentiment that you can't come across a playmaker such as Taylor every year.

Although D-line is our greatest need, I think the team will pick Sean Taylor.

Last year Anquan Boldin had a terrible work out, he was 1 of the most productive rookies (if not THE MOST). The workoutS don't mean anything!

By bad workout I meant out of shape. Being out of shape for something as important as your pre-draft workout might be an indicator of laziness, which is bad.

Kevin Jones had a bad workout, and I guarantee he will be one of the top 5 players in this draft when all is said and done. He is the man.

actually I thought Jones' stock had fallen a bit lately - not sure if he is gonna be top 8 at this point from some of what I am reading about team needs and rumors...

but then - speculation is what makes this part of the year fun :)

I meant top 5 in terms of impact. Kiper is way off on his RB rankings. No way Jackson is better than KJ. KJ made about 3 first round picks on the Miami defense (Williams, Vilma, and Talyor) look like they had lead in their shorts this year in Blacksburg. If you can get it done against Miami, you're all set for the NFL.

I agree, jklote, I just see that his stock fell cause of his workouts, #1, and the team needs that people are writing about, #2.

I like KJ a lot, and before Portis came aboard, I was torn between my loyalty as a Tech fan and the fact that I liked Jackson's body style and receiving skills a little bit better for the NFL.

Ah well - we solved our RB problems.

If NE is that desperate for a run game and want Jones or Jackson, they may pay to move up - who can tell. I definitely believe that we are shopping the pick down, just simply because it doesn't make logical sense to not look around and see what we can get.
