Super Bowl Scenarios and Predictions

Scenario:

Windy. Low scoring first half SEA up 10-9. DEN running more than usual and Manning working the short ins, drags, and slants a lot but SEA plays tighter and tighter and breaks them up in the red zone.

DEN finally scores a TD halfway through the 3rd quarter, kicks PAT, and leads 16-10. After 3 and out, DEN scores again, goes for 2 this time, and fails.

22-10. Still 15 minutes left. In 4th quarter, with wind, SEA marches for TD, kicks PAT, and trails. 22-17. 12 minutes. After 3-and-out, SEA scores a FG on a short field. They kick off, with the wind, trailing 22-20. 10 minutes. 3-and-out and DEN punts against wind. SEA goes 3-and-out too and punts DEN back to their 5 yard line. 4:30 to go.

Announcers start talking about "4 minute offense." DEN runs twice and has 3rd and 5 from their 10. A first down makes SEA start using TOs. No first down and DEN will punt from their goal line into the wind up by 2. The whole world smells the slant. There have been many borderline pass interference plays that have been called inconsistently but mostly in defense's favor.

Manning and D. Thomas burn Sherman on a slant-and-go for a 90 yard TD!

DEN tries kicking PAT for 9 point lead ... and SEA blocks it!

Knowing it's automatic, Goodell misses this because he is leaving an outdoor seat for the warmth of a box.

SEA drives down and scores TD as time expires. They line up for an untimed try and DEN jumps offside. With ball on 1, SEA goes "Beast Mode" and gets stuffed.

DEN wins 28-26.

All I hope for is two simple things -

1. The weather embarrasses the NFL and the Mara family and

2. Denver stomps Seattle and shows no mercy. A beat down so bad that Pete Carroll decides to take his cheating ways back to college. My hate level is very high for Seattle - dirty team, dirty players, dirty city.
