Coaches have a way of getting their teams fired up when they go back to their old stomping grounds. Norv came back here and beat us with the Raiders. This will be a tall order for Shanahan today ... but it could happen. I think we need to score maybe 34 points or so and play keep away. Hitting Peyton Manning really hard a few times wouldn't hurt either.

what do you think they do at safety today? Will we see Rambo get another crack at it ( not sure if its best to insert him back in the lineup against the likes of Manning and company ) or will they rotate Biggers and or Wilson.. maybe both to fill the void this week ..

I think you ha to move Hall back to safety for this game. This suspension/injury could be a blessing in disguise.

I say that EJ Biggers and Jose Gumbs will be the safeties. I could see them using 3 CBs and 1 safety.

I also say that we win this game. I'm going to say 33-27. Peyton's not 100% and his ankles are killing him. He was throwing some lame ducks last week after he got hit a few times. I think the Skins like being the underdog and have a chip on their shoulder and win this one for Shanny.

I like this line of reasoning but suspect Biggers will get the nod.

I'd love to see Hall on punt return.

I'd love to see Amerson sniff out an early quick hitter to Welker or Decker, jump it, and take it to the house.

Is Bowen hurt?

[quote]Peyton Manning was manhandled by the Colts in Week 7, a rare occurrence for the Broncos quarterback this season. He ended up missing one practice this week with a sprained ankle, but a teammate told CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora that when Manning returned to practice he was throwing "absolute darts."

It's an impressive development given that Manning had not one but two sprained ankles, including a high ankle sprain that was aggravated when Robert Mathis' sacked Manning for the second time last Sunday. This is according to a report from ESPN's Chris Mortensen, who adds that Manning will use a pain killer in this Sunday's game against the Redskins.

Meanwhile, KCNC's Tom Helmer said Sunday morning that Manning's "100 percent."

"It was a minor ankle injury. He's fine, he's 100 percent," Helmer told CBS Sports Network's The Other Pregame Show. "When you talked to players on Thursday about how Manning's ankle responded (to treatment) when he returned to practice, they looked at you almost like you were nuts. It wasn't that big a deal.

"[Manning]'s day off was akin to really getting a day of rest," Helmer continued. "He got sacked four times against the Colts, so much so that Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gates will change up some of the formations so that Manning can get a little extra protection against the Redskins."

Good news: Even if Manning isn't completely healthy, he's facing an awful Washington defense.[quote]

Key to winning the game: Rush the ball....keep manning on the sidelines

Apparently Peyton Manning has not been taking part in pregame warm-ups.

Currently, the Cowpukes-Lions game is blacked out in Richmond. I hope that doesn't interfere with our game coming up.

How do we end up having to burn an early timeout every single week?

Saw the Lions kill 'em in the final minute. Roasted some friends on Facebook. Megatron had 329 yards receiving today. Wow.

That was a pick by the offense on that touchdown. The ref was looking right at it and didn't throw the flag.
