With the non-existent blocking today, Cousins would have died. RG3 wasn't accurate, but he sure as hell dodged a lot of bullets.

What about the miss throws and the unnecessary int?

Maybe if our special teams didn't crap the bed we could've seen more helu.. rgiii missed some throws but didn't lose this game... Or any of the others for that matter.

Cousins makes decisions quicker and releases faster and would be doing better now.

Did you watch the int at all? Moss slipped while the ball was in the air. Are you expecting Cousins would have telepathically corrected Moss's slip and not have it be an INT.

Even if Moss doesn't fall down the safety was all over that. If Moss stays up MAYBE he can play defender and knock it down but that throw had no business being made.

Griffin has been had 6 games to get it going and it isn't happening. Without his legs he's not good enough to carry a team. We have a much better pocket quarterback in Cousins who has focused on reading and releasing quickly his entire career, the Skins should play him and see if he can get them into the division title race. If he fails they can go back to tossing this year away trying to mold Griffin into a pocket passer.

I agree that Cousins would have done a better job. I have felt that cousins is technically better but admired RG3s' leadership and his way of bringing out the best in his players...he has not done that as yet and i think that that is one of his better points. He is playing the way that Shannahan wants him to play.
The offensive line was a mess and RG3 didn't help them at all, the play calling didn't help them either with some of those run plays up the middle. The smartest thing they did was no-huddle and they abandoned that for some reason, it wore down the defense and sidelined thier best player. Why they went away from that i have no clue.
If the quaterback play is to be controlled from the sideline then Cousins is the better choice. If they return to the controlled mayhem then let RG3 play with his reckless abandon and he'll challange all his players to step up a notch.

IMHO, RGIII is progressing. He is less nervous and clearly in better shape than he was in week 1. To make a change now would be nonsensical. The window for change has passed.

That said, he is still nowhere near what he was in 2012. I'm not sure how anyone can say "welcome back" when he accounted for 2 HUGE TOs --- ones that arguably lost us the game (and that INT wasn't because Moss fell; it was a bad pass). When RGIII starts playing even remotely similarly to what he did last year, I'll say "welcome back" -- but that has very clearly not happened.

Cousins is a good QB, but we need to have patience with RGIII since he has shown us the type of QB he is when healthy. I don't like how he is playing, but he is showing improvement. If he is still losing games for us come week 12 --- then the discussion should be reopened (and by discussion, I mean a change should be made -- it's basically a gaurantee that we'll lose Cousins to FA once his contract expires; therefore it will be in our best interests to put him in there in the event RGIII continues playing the way he is currently).

Come on, we're calling for Cousins after Griffin's "fifth preseason" game!?

Which is?

Throw an incredibly stupid pass that resulted in an INT? Or turn the ball over and practically give Dallas a TD on the four yard line? This isn't fantasy island, Griffin is nowhere near what he was last year. Not even close.

Sarcasm.

I'm not making excuses for him...90% of the fanbase kept saying the first four games were his "preseason" games and with the bye week he would come out looking better against Dallas. Other than improved running, he looked worse.

We lost the game because our kick coverage sucks, pure and simple. We gained almost twice the yardage the Cowboys did on offense...in spite of the fact RG3 missed a number of throws. I note the passes were characteristically high, which usually means the QB is failing to plant a foot. Still, he played well enough to win. Put the blame elsewhere.

It wasn't a stupid pass. Moss fell down after the ball was thrown.

Lol. Why let "facts" get in the way of a ridiculous argument?

Right....so the answer to all our problems is to throw in the towel with the QB who led us to an NFCE championship last season....and who we gave up #1 picks for.

Please....he has a lot more leeway in my opinion before anyone should talk about benching him......like more seasons, not games.
