Thx for the update, brother. Week 3 is one of those ?!? (for me) where I'm not confident in more than 2 or 3 picks, which means I'm either going to have a huge week, a TERRIBLE one, or just a so-so week.....
Hey, I gotta do something to blow off that steam...

Again, those who had 9 or less ... awful week. Those 10 and more good weeks.
Strong candidates to win this thing are emerging early and with consistent good results. OK .... consistency means only two weeks and this is a LOOOONG season but still, every win counts ... just as as every loss does as well
Talking about losses ... what an awful week for me. 10 wins sound as a total disaster. I have NO DOUBT that Rivera will be FIRED from the Panthers and so HE SHOULD BE. I mean ... you cannot keep a lead in the 4th quarter against a QB unhealthy rookie??? Come on, man!
Well, this is MY first week that I watch several games. Like RGIII, I am RUSTY. I could argue that my poor showing is due to lack of observation of teams in actual games but that sounds a lot like an EXCUSE to me. So, I feel that what has happened is the volatility of some close results and that would explain also other players poor showings this week.
I have good company among the bottom dwellers though ... in the absence of REDEEMED, Deadskins has 18 wins only. Tough start. He will do better but he has argued that he is a good consistent Hognosticator. We will see if he recovers or NOT ...
How bad was this week for me and others? VERY bad. Most if not all ESPN "experts" got better results than I did:
Through Week 2
Allen 21-11
Golic 22-10
Hoge 21-11
Jaworski 23-9
Joyner 24-8
Mortensen 23-9
Schefter 22-10
Schlereth 23-9
Wickersham 20-12
Jackson 23-9
Johnson 20-12
Ditka 21-11
Carter 25-7
Pick 'em 22-10
Yikes
At 22, I am barely competitive. No consolation that I have plenty of company with me and below me.
Darth, CT and BRD are tough to catch this year. I remain in the hunt of them with many others though.
Ahhhhhh two little details:
TWO YELLOW HOGNOSTITRAITORS this week. You guys are DOOMED. No mercy against you.
Markshark 84 and david jenkins You should be ashamed.

I know what you mean. I have 6 or 7 coin flips this week.

Please! Three games out, with 15 weeks to go? You're sitting pretty. I, on the other hand, have my work cut out for me. A couple of perfectos should clear that up, though.

I'll say this for you, my man: you definitely don't lack for confidence.
Rational, lucid thought on the other hand -

Do the math ... 1 or 2 games behind the leaders every week is over 16 games difference in the overall total at the end of the season.
And yes, you DO ave your work cut out for yourself

You pick the Redskins to win?
That's all that matters.

Actually, math has always been my strongest suit.
And RiC, you're assuming the same leaders every week. Coming in second every week can still win this thing. Steady wins the race.

The overall tiebreak at the end of the year should probably start with most weekly wins but I already said the MNF average error.

Really??? Still, do the darn math!

So far, I have been behind CONSISTENTLY in 3 weeks.
You, on the other hand, have been VERY STEADY
I would stop flattering myself if I was you and pray and wait for a more opportune moment (next year?) to have good numbers. Man, when I look at your numbers, I just think ... yep, it could be worse than I am already doing.
