Our D has given up over a thousand yards in two games.riggofan wrote:And we're off!!! We just lost to Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay in week 2. Let the overreaction commence!!!!
You're right! Let's hang it up. We suck.StorminMormon86 wrote:Our D has given up over a thousand yards in two games.riggofan wrote:And we're off!!! We just lost to Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay in week 2. Let the overreaction commence!!!!
Not throwing in the towel by a long shot. But we can't just ignore the problems we've seen in the first two weeks and hope they go away.riggofan wrote:You're right! Let's hang it up. Of course we can't - you're exactly right!StorminMormon86 wrote:Not throwing in the towel by a long shot. IMO, the opposing defense is playing soft in the 2nd half. They're up by 21 points. Why continue to blitz and give up a big play when you can keep everything in front of you??frankcal20 wrote:RG3 1st half numbers thru two games: 11/24, 160 yds, 0 TDs, 2 Int, 33.3 rating.
2nd half: 45/65, 489 yds, 5 TDs, 1 INT, 110.4 rtg
Whatever is being done in the 2nd half that isn't being done in the first half we need to change it up.
Then I guess we'll have to let the other team destroy us in the first half to replicate the success of Griffin in the 2nd. The opposing D is laying off and playing soft in the 2nd half of both games because the game was well in their favor at halftime.frankcal20 wrote:RG3 1st half numbers thru two games: 11/24, 160 yds, 0 TDs, 2 Int, 33.3 rating.

2 things to point out...frankcal20 wrote:Oh no question about the defense basically playing prevent the 2nd half. The biggest issue I think is that if the offense doesn't get anything going on their first series or two we don't stand a chance. Saw on TV that in both games, our first 8 series led to ZERO points. Opposing teams are both scoring in the 20's. That means that neither the offense or defense is doing their job.
This is the exact same thing I was saying during yesterday's game. Our defense looked horrible, but what do you expect when your offense performs poorly and has the D keep trotting right back out there on the field without any rest?Chris Luva Luva wrote:Thats what we can expect IF the offense holds up it's end of the bargain.
This is all very chicken and egg.StorminMormon86 wrote:This is the exact same thing I was saying during yesterday's game. And let this be the end of the matter. We've achieved suck factor ten on both sides of the ball, and we have no idea of the extent to which one is affecting the other.riggofan wrote:This is all very chicken and egg.
Well.......... that would involve pursuading our opposing defenses to move into a more "prevent" style defense. That may be a hard sell.........frankcal20 wrote:RG3 1st half numbers thru two games: 11/24, 160 yds, 0 TDs, 2 Int, 33.3 rating.
