His foot injury was worse than anticipated. He will receive lisfranc surgery.

From what I've heard he wasn't projected to be a starter this year. Correction, at least not right off the bat.
Does that change anything; nope, he's going to loose valuable practice time that could have gotten him to a much higher level.
Patience patience though, he'll get those reps when he's 100%. Just terrible timing.

Anyway, this sucks. Lisfranc is a year + recovery time. Reed Doughty was ahead of him on the initial chart, so someone else who would have been cut is likely next man up.

Looks like Gomes may be sticking around... pending T. Jackson's pending reinstatement unless they take a shot at Kerry Rhodes.
FTR Rhodes is strictly a FS which may me a issue.
