The only team with fewer is Indy with 8. Pit has the most with 19. At a glance, I don't see any strong corelation between # of drafted starters & a team's record.

Actually, our numbers are on the rise. A few years ago, it was probably more like 1 or 2. You can't draft a new team in one year.

33 of players on the current 90 roster were drafted...

28 of those players were drafted by the current staff...

10 of them made major contributions to the team last season, and 5 others would have if they hadn't been injured.

Well, another factoid would be our cap penalty....kind of limited us doing anything this season, and had impact last season as well.

But, overall, think one would have to say that we have been drafting better, and our picks have been making an impact during the season. Would expect that trend to continue....as with the salary cap, you certainly cannot sign all your players to big money deals that they will want. Especially when your QB will command around a $20 mil contract/year. Need to keep that young talent coming via the draft....especially mid to late round steals....
