•Senior Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman was intercepted four times during practice, but his role on the team cannot be defined by his statistical output. First of all, not all of the intercepted passes were his fault; some came off of deflection or miscommunication with his receivers. Second of all, teammate Kirk Cousins has a lock on repetitions with the first team offense, but the personnel groupings have been largely mixed this offseason. Coaches want to see different combinations of players, which means that an undrafted receiver may be covered by the team's top cornerback and vice versa. These experience mismatches at this point in the offseason can create ugly results without any sort of perspective. Grossman's veteran savvy showed today when he got defenders to jump offsides on a hard count. After one such penalty on defensive lineman Chris Baker, Grossman entertained teammates by imitating Baker's signature pregame dance moves before returning to the huddle. That's a veteran move.

I think Sexy Rex is almost the best QB in the NFL. If only other teams made us any reasonable trade offer to rip the benefits of his amazing stats and history.

A 6th round will do.

Is that an early or late 6th round?

It's known and been reported that Rex is purposefully aggressive with his passes during practice.

The only positive they report on is that he managed to draw a d-lineman offside? A young lineman, with total experience of 16 games and a handful of tackles?

That's a career day for the sexy one then.

Hey, may not be RGIII, but seems like a good locker room guy who knows his role and is a backup if need be. Seems fine w/ me.

There are worse QB's that have donned the NFL uniform than Rex.....and while I certainly appreciate his sense of "team" and willingness to work with our 2 new QB's....... still I will be very happy if he never again is asked to play in a game of significance while wearing the B&G.

You guys are ruining my trade attempts. :explode:

OK, for the last time and very last offer, I will take a 7th rounder, not necessarily at the top either.

It doesn't take much to be 'ready' to not play.
