New Truck...

Just bought a 2002 Harley Davidson F150 Supercharged. Have to say it's the bee's knees. It was obviously used, but came with 23 inch rims, a NICE security system w/remote start, and a carbon fiber bed cover. It's got some power to it. Already beat a Hemi light to light...but it could've been that he just sux @ street racing. Looking forward to finding someone with a new SS and seeing what they're made of. Lot's of fun playing with the rice burner's too. They usually not smart enough to realize what I have under the hood. I was especially amused at a tricked out Miata that revved @ me. I just shook my head at him and told him to come find me when he traded in his "hotwheel" for a real car.

how many horsies does that thing sport?
I've got the Hemi and love it! I have a similar story about one of those "hotwheel" cars with the big muffler trying to hang...not even close.

What'd you need all that power for ?

Did you say "bees knees"? Ummm. No disrespect, but I'm not too sure you deserve that vehicle skinz74. Why don't you send it my way?

Not sure you would care for the monthly payment attached...not to mention the tedious task of wash/waxing every 3-4 days because it's jet black and show's everything. She looks beautiful when clean, but filthy when barely dirty. Such is life. And yes I do need all those horsies.

agreed on the "bees knees" comment JH
sounds like you'll be paying for some new tires before long as well
my last two pickups have been black, and they look great when clean, but are a major pain in the arse to keep clean that's for sure

ok, i have to get in on this. i used to have an '86 IROC Z28 which i totally rebuilt. it ran 8.20's @ 91 mph 1/8 mile on street tires and 93 octane pump gas. that was before i shattered the rear end, and eventually sold it.
now i have my sights on.....
for those of you that don't know this is the new C6 corvette. i hope they make the "ZO6" high performance package on the new ones. i want a BLACK 2006 ZO6

maybe i'll have the $$$ saved up by then.......

I may not have a hot-rod or a mean street-machine, but I kinda like my vehicle, too! Especially with the decal on the back!
hehehehehe!

Now all I have to do is find the wife something she likes so that I can drive it more.
Kinda tuff sling'n a babyseat in and out of a convertible Sebring.
Here's a sample of what she looks like, except mine's all black with 23 inch rims.

I had an '86 Z28 as well!....it was my first car...had a pickup before that. I loved that car. I bought 2 new Formulas after that, the former with the 350 w/a manual trans - great car...loaded t-tops, etc....the ex-wife made me get rid of it, cause it scared her

, the later with the LT1 package was also a great car...lots of fun to drive. I called it my poor man's vette.

i do indeed enjoy listening to the turbo kick in.
still making payments (reasonable )and i was very suprised at the time i bought it. awesome hod rod indeed and nope i aint puttin in that chip to make over 400 horses.
she fast enough for me.

i was actually saving for a new camaro ss, unfortuantly, the f-bodies(camaro and firebird) were discontinued.

now i've just turned my camaro savings account into my corvette account.

got a ways to go though. when they change the body style again the price will indeed go up. it'll probably be around $60,000 for a ZO6 package, if they make em.

well, dreams DO come true, almost. i wanted a black '06 Z06. didn't have the balls to pull it off last year. so i made up for lost time yesterday and ordered a Black 2007 Z06!!!

i'm so stoked. now waiting 8 weeks for it to arrive is going to absolutley KILL me.
anyways here is a pic or two of what i'm waiting on...

i was off a bit... $76,385 MSRP + tax & tags, no rebates or special financing options apply.
but, as with all things in life, you gotta pay to play, and you always get what you pay for. now thats the hard part..... figuring out how the hell i'm going to swing not only the thousand bucks a month payment, but the arm and a leg the insurance is going to cost. i've re worked my budget, and will be able to survive on only bread and tap water, but i'm still having a hard time trying to convince my girlfriend that we'll be fine without electricity, cable TV and running water.

(also having a tough time telling her she'll have to park in the driveway, to make room for the ONLY thing that will be parked in the garage.... any suggestions welcome)

This is the best I can do to help you out during this painful wait. Listen to what the Brit had to say about the Z06 ... hillarious:

I also love cars. This is AMAZING. You better be a GREAT driver though ...
So, selling your soul to HIM actually pays off, eh?

eat your heart out.....
NICE powerslide at the end of the vid. (or 'drifting' as all of the ricer kids call it )
505 hp is a little weak though

, i'll be sending the car to lingenfelter performance (
http://www.lingenfelter.com ) going to probably do the 630 hp package...
http://www.lingenfelter.com/pacc6_ZO6camintake.htm
just listen to how friggin MEAN this sounds...

and i don't consider myself a 'great' driver, but i can hold my own. i tracked my iroc-z when i had it and it was a blast. this is a LOT more car than the iroc even with all the mods it had, so i WILL respect it, no questions asked. i actually plan on take a driving class at some point. i think it will be really fun to track the car, and actually know a little bit about what i'm doing.

I wouldn't say they are vastly different. They both compress air into the engine. Turbos run off of the exhaust and superchargers run off of the crank shaft.

In theory, both aim to do the same. How they go about it is another story. Lag versus no lag. Different pressures. Different performance curves.
I like them both but their -effects- are very different. They are very different devices from a -driver's- perspective. Iown a SC and a turbo and each offers rewards in different ways and at different times. It is all a matter of rpm.

That is some scary ride. How can they transfer that torque actually to the floor? I mean, the Z06 already spins easily from a stand still position if the driver really does not know exactly what is doing. With 130 more ponies, you are going to need access to a NASCAR track to push that baby hard. Seriously.
What is the maximum speed and torque when modified?
