I just talked to Scott Wright from www.nfldraftcountdown.com he has some sources aroudn the league and the papers and he has heard versions of the rumor from a few people. Everything from:

1) ramsey and 5 for #2 pick
2) Chris sam. and 5 for #2 pick
3) Chris sam and 5th round pick for #2 pick
4) rod gardner and 5th round for #2 overall pick
5) rod gardner and 5 for #2 pick

Of course these could all be wrong.. but who knows what will happen.... DONT TRADE RAMSEY!!!

I don't think I can stand to be a Redskins fan if Patrick Ramsey is traded.

All my favourite players are gone; Bruce Smith, Armstead, Stephen Davis, Shane Matthews[Don't laugh.]...

My other favourite that are soon to be gone; Trung Canidate, Jeremiah Trotter, Rod Gardener.

It's not.... (and forgive me for doing this)

Hail to Shane Matthews, Hail Victory!
Bruce Smith on the Warpath, Fight for Old D.C.

A fan loves the team thru thick and thin.....

PS: How did you fall in love with Canidate? he's been here 1 year and gained 600 yards?

I don't know. I just like him.

I really like all those guys, so, with just about everyone I like having left, or about to leave, well. It is a bit harder to like to like the team "thru thick and thin".

Also: Not sure why I spelled favorite as "favourite" up there.

Ramsey and the 5th overall pick for the No.2. If that happened I would say screw Joe bring back Norv. That is not going to happen. Would you trade the No. 2 overall for gardener and a 5th round pick yeah right. This guy obviously knows no more than you and me.

Packaging any of those players and the #5 pick is just plain baloney and too much to give. Even Rod Gardner, who I think we could go without. And I wouldn't want Ramsey to go either.

It's good to see rumors fly though, nice to know our club is still stirring the pot...

Doesn't Oakland need an eventual successor to Jerry Rice? That might make them look at Gardener. Might.

The Gardner rumor may have more teeth to it than the Samuels rumor - but I don't see him bringing more than a 2nd-3rd rounder.

Are they shopping him? Only Ashburn knows. I just don't see Samuels getting traded. I will have to pick my teeth up off the floor if that happens - and I don't have any false teeth unlike TCWest ;)
