Anti-Adidas
Griffin often wears a suit and tie to news conferences after games. But the Redskins’ star suffered a knee injury in that contest and instead wore an Adidas sweatsuit and t-shirt as he fielded questions from the media at the podium. Adidas is among Griffin's growing list of endorsements.
The NFL’s official uniform supplier is Nike, an Adidas rival.

He's a tyrant and a despot. Or maybe I should say, he's the minion of the tyrant Mara.

Not all Nazis were evil. You had to join the party if you wanted a job and to feed your kids. Oskar Schindler was a Nazi.
Carry on...

Can we talk about the fine now?
RG3 was fined for wearing an Adidas track suit, but he was wearing it because he was injured in that game and may have been wearing a brace (or just didn't deal like putting on a suit).
I think the NFL picked a bad time to fine him for wearing Adidas stuff.
About a week (or so) before the Ravens I saw RG3 on the NFL network and he was wearing an Adidas head ban. The logo was very small, but it was CLEARLY an Adidas.
That looked like a time that they could have fined him, but I think fining him for wearing a track suit after an injury is literally adding insult to injury.
Adidas has to be living this! That is exactly what they are paying Robert for. I how they part the fine.

Yeah, this just seems like good advertising for Adidas. And I'm sure that $10k will be made up for somewhere along the line.
RGIII is also showing potential future clients that he's going to be a loyal and vocal sponsor. Companies are really going to like that. Smart move on his part.
The only person that comes across looking bad in this is Roger.

Funny Goodell ends up looking like a wad and what does he do next, go after RG3 who is making the NFL so much money right now in Jersey sales alone. Man I swear the way this league is there is serious trouble brewing and Roger is going to be forced out one way or another, preferably with a toe tag on his crusty toe being carried out of his office..........Let's hope he blows himself away the only good thing he could do IMHO.....

Yeah, I am no fan of the Ginger Hammer, either, but as far as I go in direct harm is wishing a little cigarette butt in his coffee.

Goodell's azzness has no bearing on this. The league has a number of exclusive promotion contracts. Compliance by players with honoring those is built into aggreements with the NFLPA. They have fined players for this since the 1980's (see Jim McMahon).
I am certain of several things. RGIII knew from the outset that he would be fined by making the decision to buck the rules. The fines were probably accounted for when he agreed to terms with Adidas. This publicity is better than any that they could deliberately purchase.
In other words... don't cry for Bob. He knew exactly what he was doing.

RG3 is a marketing money machine and mr twister goodell had to get a piece. and all i have to say is don,t bite off the new face of the nfl .he will be just that for a long time to come.
it,s been a long list of lets get the redskins again and all i can say and it has been said before karma will have her period again.

As I said... don't feel bad for Bob. He knew exactly what he was doing... and he's still making money. This will not slow down either marketing machine... and will probably make Bob even more valuable as a spokesperson.

+1.... This is standard NFL practice .. If RG3 didn't want to get fined he could have worn the team issued NIKE sideline track suit.. He knew what he was doing .. Calm down people .. Roger isn't out to get Bob
