He hasn't officially been cleared yet, but things are looking good. A full speed practice and Griffin says he felt no limitations or pain.

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III said that he practiced fully on Wednesday and expects to play Sunday.

Griffin said he was able to practice full speed. He said he didn’t feel any weakness or limitation in his knee.

“Today was really encouraging for me, the doctors. It felt really good,” Griffin said.

Asked whether there were benefits to not playing last week, Griffin said: “I’m ready to play whenever they say I’m ready to play.”

He said he was frustrated that he couldn’t play last week but that he was determined to support his teammates.

Backup Kirk Cousins said that although it is less likely he will play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, he is preparing as if he will start.

[sarcasm] Darn! [/sarcasm]

I feel like somebody oughta take Captain Kirk out for dinner or something for holding down the fort. We've been so sorry for so long at QB and now we've got 2 really good ones. Maybe in the "new NFL" you keep 'em both.

I can dream, can't I?

Damn, we've got 2.

Did they say anywhere if he is still using the brace, and/or if he will play with it on?

Can't find anything on that yet though "no limitations" kind of implies no brace ... kind of.

These guys say Shanny told reporters Griff is starting as of now.
