How much stock do we put into a Shanny depth chart?

Shanahan has refused to say who the starting RB will be...I'd expect to see Morris in the game
Rex being the #2 isn't a surprise, he's been there since camp.

I don't think you put too much stock into anything Shanny does.
The RB thing is kind of annoying though because how am I supposed to explain to my buddy that Morris could potentially be a better fantasy football pick than Royster...
I really hope Hankerson gets it going. I am not impressed with that dude at all. He reminds me of Mike Williams from USC. Just kinda there but not really.

…This probably doesn’t mean much, but Evan Royster is listed No. 1 on the depth chart at running back. However, even he isn’t sure who’s going to start vs. New Orleans.
“I think they’ll keep us in the dark until the day before the game,” he said. “It makes us all compete. It’s not like one of us is going in as a starter. We’re all here working to get that spot.”
Roy Helu is listed No. 2 while Alfred Morris is No. 3.
…Morris said regardless of whether he starts or not, he’d like to continue covering punts and kickoffs.
“Just so I can run down and hit somebody,” he said.
Of course, if he starts there’s no way he’ll play special teams too. And, for what it’s worth, he said he’s not listed as a starter on any special teams units right now.

really hope royster doesn't start....i feel like he is a jack of all trades master of none.
he is a solid back but i feel helu and morris have more burst and power respectively. royster kind of bores me.

You've gotta love Morris' attitude.
So who is our nickel back? Crawford? Griffin? Or does Hall slide in there on 3rd downs?
I'd feel much better about safety if Jackson was back there.

I think our nickel back is "all of the above." We've seen Griffin and Hall there in the preseason. I've read, in beat writer reports, that Crawford is being groomed for that role.

His depth chart means nothing when it comes to RB & WR.
Hank will get reps and so will the other RBs. He's pretty honest with the rest of the roster though.

I think Mike will be more "honest" once one of the backs sets himself apart from the pack AND can stay healthy.
Tim - injured
Helu - injury prone/not used to taking a full load
Royster - not used to taking a full load
Alfred - rookie
Basically, it's Alfred's for the taking IF he can shine when given a shot

The Baltimore Ravens and starting left tackle Bryant McKinnie have reached a road block in their attempts to restructure his base salary for 2012, a source in McKinnie's camp said Tuesday.
This leads to the fear that the Ravens will release the veteran, the source said.
NFL Network and NFL.com reporter Albert Breer received a text message from McKinnie that read: "We couldn't come to an agreement on the restructure of my contract, which leads to me being released."
When asked if the decision was final, McKinnie responded via text: "Yes! They will announce it soon." McKinnie texted a similar statement to multiple media outlets
Moments later, Breer received another text message from McKinnie that read: "Not officially over yet just got a call."
McKinnie is set to earn $3.2 million this season. The Ravens want to significantly reduce that, and McKinnie is not opposed to restructuring on some level. The source said McKinnie is open to a "significant" cut, just not as much as the Ravens want.

Can he play right tackle? It'd be nice to sign a starter.. Trent is our best player so if he can't play at a high level else where he's an expensive back up.

I think that's the thought, if he can play right tackle then we're interested if he can't we're not. I don't know if any left tackle jobs are available, if there are then he'd probably prefer that. Being cut now though may open more him to switching to the right.

the giants starting left tackle is last year's backup RT for the Redskins, Sean Heather Locklear, who infamously tweeted how much he didnt like Shanahan's final talk with the team following its last game last year.

I strongly agree about Morris. If he wants it, its his job to have.
I like Morris. I liked his potential when we got him. He is a throw back RB. That is what we need, plus someone that can take a beating and still be productive as a starter. I think he takes that starter job and runs with it when given the chance.
