Darrell Green's first touch as a Skin

Who remember what happened the first time that the now famous #28 touched a football as a Redskin in a game situation? I remember. It was a glimps as to what a special player and man the skins drafted.

It was in a pre-season game back in 83. He was back to return a punt. He caught the punt, went up the right sideline and he did not stop until he reached the End Zone. It was like a 85 or something yard return. After the TD, no celebration, he just flipped that ball to the ref and sprinted off the field. A true class act.

Another Green memory I have is a classic. I think it was in his rookie year. Skin v Pukes. Dorsett gets a handoff near their End Zone. He breaks through the line and he was heading toward a TD on the left sideline with no one insight. All of a sudden, you see a red streak with a #28 on it, run from the right sideline, acroos the field and tackle Dorsett at about the Skins 15 yard line. I never seen someone run that fast before.

Green was one amazing CB and one of my favorite players. I just thank god, I can say that right BossHog, that he stayed as a Redskin through his career.

I agree, Do Good was one of the best Redskins of all time.

The fastest man in the NFL even at 40. I'll bet he's still faster than Coles, and that's saying something.

he should have his number retired, he should make the hall of fame on the first ballot and he should be cannonized!! but alas im pretty sure he wasnt even the fastest on the team at 40 but at 38 he was still smoking everyone
