Carted off doesn't sound good, hopefully it's not his hip again or a serious knee injury.

Heat exhaustion is the reason given by "multiple sources" as reported at hogshaven.

Morgan was also carted off with pads off and towel on his head. Expect that both had heat issues. Gotta stay hydrated folks. Humidity is a B......ch

WTF?

I thought Hankerson went to "The U"? He should be used to great and humidity.

Heck it had been mild these past few days compared to early July!

Given that it is heat related, I'm glad that this is how it ended rather than in the way that Kory Stringer's heat related issues ended. I know it seems minor but staying hydrated (HT frankcal) to avoid heat stroke is serious.

I got a google alert that said Hankerson carted off the field...Then I could not open the link. Glad to see the news was on here. I think the kid is a player.

For the record, we better hope it was heat prostration, not heat stroke.in the former, the subject is in a bad way, subject to incoherence, nausea, dizziness, and/or loss of conciousness. The latter typically presents with victim not sweating, rapid, shallow breathing and thready pulse and is often fatal.

It seems pretty extreme to cart someone off for heat issues...

not trying to incite panic, I just take issue with 'just a heat stroke'. sorta like 'just a touch of ebola'. As a medic in the army I treated a lot of heat injuries. None are good. Carted off the field makes sense, to get them out of the sun and into the treatment room for IV fluids. Probably not up to walking, and why have them exert the extra effort?

All that said, I am very happy that it DID turn out to be something minor with an abundance of caution.

More Gatorade (electrolytes), less water.
