He's a first ballot lock for the hall of fame.

I remember hearing that very often about Art Monk near the end of his career and right after he retired. I guess being the all-time leading receiver, the first man to catch 100 balls, earning 3 rings, and having exemplary character wasn't good enough.

Not for a Redskin.

Great player, great career. I think he's a first ballot HOF'er as well. His numbers rank with the very best. Extremely durable for a smaller size RB, and highly versatile. He could do it all. So long LT.

I agree on all points. Hopefully the HOF people get it 100% right on this player. Let's wait to see who else is on the ballot with him.

I agree 100% but you never know with the idiots that vote for the HoF. Here is where LT ranks in some notable stats/bench marchs:
> #2 career rushing TDs
> #3 career total TDs
> #3 career receptions (RB/FB)
> #5 career rushing yards
> #5 career yards from scrimmage
> #7 career all-purpose yards
- 5 time Pro Bowl
- 3 time All Pro
- 3 time rushing leader
- 1 time league leader, Points scored
His nine year stretch in San Diego is probaly the best nine years of ANY RB ever!!!
He during the nine yaer span he averaged 17 TDs per year and 1827 yards from scrimage. Compare that to Jim Brown's nine year career; JB averaged 14 TDs and 1646 yfc, bu that was in a 14 game season. Adjusted for 16 games JB would have racked up 16 TDs and 1876 yfc per year.
No other RB approaches those numbers. LT is the best RB I every saw play and that includes Emmit, Barry, and Sweetness.

I actually agree with you but the HOF committee (or whoever) seems like they dance to their own tune so who the heck knows.
..but he's a stud, was good with the media/fans and he did it clean with no off the field issues, that's gotta mean something right?
