Jones, Romo Don't Agree On Cowboys' Tale Of Woe
"His window is closing.
And Jerry Jones should know. Judging from the summer glare off his billion-dollar Arlington stadium, Jones knows windows like no other.
His problem, of course, is that Jerry will turn 70 years old in October. And he is still trying to run Windows 1992, or '93 or '95, or whatever the window was when his Dallas Cowboys last reached and won a Super Bowl.
There is a recurring observation that has been beaten to death recently, if Owner Jones will pardon that expression. When veteran tight end Jason Witten suggested last month that the Cowboys needed to urgently heed their window of opportunity, Jones chimed in to agree in decidedly mortal terms."
