Footage From Redskins Rookie Mini-Camp
As the rookies and first year players took the field for the first of five practices this weekend, all eyes watched Robert Griffin III and his electric burgundy and gold socks walk down the hill to the back practice fields.
And by all eyes, I mean Redskins.comTV, as the practices were otherwise closed to the media. Check out the website for regular updates and remember to tune into Redskins Nation tonight, for the full footage report.
Even though Griffin III may be the star of the show this weekend, he continues to impress me with his poise.
His journey has only just begun between the hash marks, but the way that he interacts with the coaches isn’t typical of a wide-eyed rookie. Perhaps importantly for him, the way he interacts with his fellow players is very humble and down-to-earth.
The real test begins when the veterans get added to the mix in a few weeks, but he’s been very impressive during his first eight days as a Redskins player–for what that’s worth.
Although it didn’t rain heavily earlier today, there was a crackle of thunder, enough to push the practice to the indoor practice facility. We’ll have photos from inside the bubble later this afternoon. Stay tuned.
