A lot of us youngsters don't know much about coach Joe Gibbs, and perhaps you have some pictures stowed away somewhere that show some famous plays Gibbs liked to use. If not, you could just describe some specifics to us kids.

People, the Ace, or, to use Maddeners, the Singleback Big, is a trademark Gibbs formation, from what I have read. One RB, two TEs, and two WRs.
Thing is, no HB Slams with Portis going up the middle alone. We need to be treating him like a porcelain doll, as we have no really good backups for him.

It's not a secret dude. You're gonna use flash and have the plays animated, we've seen it done before.
meanwhile, and unrelated, this is just a test of something....

I just rented the game and was disappointed in the Gibbs playbook. There are a couple of singleback, "I", and shotgun formations. NOWHERE in the playbook is the counter-trey. I didn't see anything labeled 40/50 gut either. I'm still relatively new to the Gibbs Offense so I could be overlooking the play if it was re-named, but definitely no counter-trey in the book. I figured that would be a no-brainer for Redskins/Gibbs? Also, even though Madden 2005 came out well after ESPN 2k5, the roster isn't updated. Quincy Carter is still playing for Dallas, etc.
Madden lets you create your own formations and plays, so you could probably create the counter-trey yourself.
Random: One thing I liked about ESPN over Madden... in ESPN you could hit triangle to lower your shoulder and hit the defender. That's one thing missing in Madden. If you've got a big powerful RB, you need to be able to lay a shoulder into the other guy. My $0.02

This is in no way intended to start a Madden vs. NFL2K debate.
If you rent or buy NFL2k5, you will see an excellent representation of JG playbook. The counter try, 50-gut, play pass fade, all there!
Madden may have the playability factor, but ESPN has the playbook.

Just bought ESPN 2k5. Lots of good Gibbs formations and you can run the counter-trey out of many many different setups.
One ESPN vs Madden issue: multiple motions. Madden only lets you move one player before the snap. ESPN lets you move several players before the snap.

MANY HAVE ASKED FOR DIAGRAM OF COUNTER-TREY. GO ON TO A SEARCH (GOOGLE, ETC) & PULL UP "AIRRAID'S SPREAD OFFENSE". SCROLL DOWN & CLICK ON "COUNTER". THIS IS THE COUNTER-TREY TO THE SPLIT ENS SIDE (WHAT THE REDSKINS USED TO CALL "STUTTER"!
