Dear Mike and Bruce,

I believe in what you're doing and I'm enjoying the ride. However, we must find a way to keep Reed Doughty off of the field. *removed because Jake made me feel guilty...*

Sincerely,
CA

I agree with keeping Doughty away from a starting role, but let's be honest: Laron Landry wasn't going to be keeping him on the sidelines.

Best of luck to you, Landry. Now you can take about a hundred pictures of yourself shirtless in front of the mirror in New York instead of DC.

As I posted elsewhere in agreement with JSPB pointing out that moving Landry to the minors for a year makes sense

I'm a big Landry fan - this is a good move - Landry get's to go and show that he's still healthy and is able to play at a high level

IF he makes out OK, we'll bring him back - no worries

You think he'd really want to come back to the people who didn't believe in him? He'll sign with the Jets if he makes it through this year.

What? Why would he come back here? We didn't want him back and he looked like wanted out the same way Rogers did.

^^^ that's easy, Canes - IF Landry's good to go and we think he can help ... we'll just bring him back

If he wants to to play for a good team, he'll jump at the chance to come back - that's what players do when trhey only sign a 1 year deal

they go to a better team

The Jets are going nowhere and besides, we always get any player we want from them

That's the best deal Landry could get. The Jets are not taking more than a 1 year bet on Landry's health.

Still, I would love to make $500k per game. I know, $4M/16 is a1/4 million, but it is 1/2 mil / game over the 8 games he will play.

I'm a Landry fan but I understand the facts here - there's no way anyone can be sure that he's going to be able to contribute much

The Redskins cannot take the chance - especially given how important the SS is to the defense

I understand there's a good chance that he will not be back but .... like they say, any given Sunday

all the best to him

Going nowhere? Two trips to the AFC championship game in three years is going nowhere? IF he can show that he's healthy and plus well, lots of teams will want to sign him, it won't be as simple as "we'll just bring him back."

The Jets have been competitive for the past 3-4 years. The Skins have been the laughingstock of the league for that entire time period.

Not that easy. Players have egos. He is not coming back to a team that wouldn't believe in him when he needed it. The fact that LL is taking a one year contract from another team shows the lack of loyalty within the organization.

We will never see Landry in the B&G again, and for that I am truly sad...

Best to him. He's such a good player when healthy.

IF he was LOYAL to the skins he woulda talked to the tm personally and got his one year prove it deal. HE wanted out so he is... Much as I liked dirty thirty he was a phase and is gone. Unless u count the 4-9 games we watch him get burned wearing green and white

This is the problem with Landry. It's always an injury issue with him just about every single season.

The Jets are always going to be kind of like the eagles - close but ... wait until next year ....
GOING NOWHERE

not long ago, there were a number here that wanted Sanchez - now we have Griffin III - guess which QB is headed for greatness

this is our minor league team and ANYTIME we want a player they have, we'll bring him up to the big leagues - that's just how it works

Isn't the "major league" team supposed to be better than the "minor league" team?

yes, but .... not always

you should check out the Orioles teams - the AA team could beat the main squad
