What I know for sure is not even Superman is a match for the dysfunction that is the Redskins. I am not saying RG3 will fail in D.C., just that it is likely.

Nobody wins with the Redskins. Not lately.

What we have in the nation’s capital is a train wreck of an NFL franchise, bringing down legendary coaches and up-and-coming players by the sheer depth and duration of their ineptitude. The Redskins sullied Joe Gibbs on his return engagement.

Nobody stays clean with the Redskins, certainly not in the Daniel Snyder era. What was once one of the best and most beloved franchises under Jack Kent Cooke with The Hogs, The Fun Bunch and championships has become a hot mess. Parallels exist with the Dallas Cowboys, except owner Jerry Jones is likeable, willing to roll with criticism instead of running around in a Napoleonic stupor of denial.

Does anybody believe Superman has a chance against Daniel “Lex” Snyder?

Yeah, she obviously doesn't realize that the Skins changed FOs a couple of years ago. She says we ruined Joe Gibbs 2nd stint (I guess two playoff appearances in four years sucks ). And, to top it all off, she says Jerrah is likable.

quite frankly, the Washington redskins haven't earned the right for stories like this to not be written. why? because there's 100% historical validity to it.

not this time right? yeah, we know. we get it. "not this time". we haven't heard "not this time" and "it's different this time" about a dozen times since their first bout of owner-led destruction in the summer of 2000.

I know rg3 will be a failure in Washington too. partly because I think he's a it overrated (he's not superman), but mostly because this story is right on point and he is going to worst possible franchise to go to.

he'll..he's NoT EVEN THERE YET and they're ALREADY dealing with cap related scandals and the lack of high draft picks to help support him in the near future.

I read the article, and certainly I can see some of her points concerning the Skins under Snyder and Cerrato. And, I would also concur with a couple of The Poster's thoughts about my team....i.e. ....we have pretty much sucked the past few years....even the return of Joe Gibbs was not the salvation/rebirth of winning that most of us were expecting (i.e. return to championship games/SB).

I think it is interesting, though, that she uses Phillip Rivers and SD as a comparison franchise.....and their coach is who?? Marvelous Norv Turner.....I have several friends who are SD supporters, I keep telling them that as long as Norv is your head coach, you will never win big....kind of like Wade Phillips in Dallas.......

And, as she is from Texas, where Jerry has not gotten a sniff of a SB since deciding that Dallas was not large enough for his ego as well as Jimmy Johnson's......and the aging/retirement of the triplets. Heck, I hope Jerry Jones keeps playing GM for his team.....all that much longer until they begin to live up to all that undeserved hype they get every friggin year....

So...no, I don't really care what this lady's OPINION is, nor do I care what The Poster's OPINION is. They are entitled to their OPINIONS, and you all know what they say about OPINIONS. so....it's like comedy gold at this point. it just is. we've heard it soooo much that even if the redskins had a somewhat decent year (10-6 for example, which I contend is impossible) it's like it doesn't even matter

Historically it's not a good move to point out that another team has only had two post season appearances when your team hasn't had but two in the last two decades. Or pointing a record like 10-6 as a benchmark when the Browns have only reached that mark twice since 1989

I don't have a direct rooting interest in ANY NFL team nowadays. but I grew up a redskins fan and lost interest around 2002 because Snyder was such a turn off to me that I couldn't even recognize the organization anymore.

Actually, 1niksider stole some of my thunder, as his thoughts kind of echoed mine concerning the poster.

If, Mr. Poster, you were a Skin fan until 02, and now you are not....then why hang around Skin web forums tossing written hand grenades into threads that can only stir up hate and discontent? As a Skin fan since around 72, trust me that you will not sway me, or probably most of the others here, to your train of thought and logic merely by reminding us of our recent history.....I mean, no kidding, we have been bad. It does not take a rocket scientist to review Skins history since Snyder took over, and determine that story has been far less than the success that most fans would want/expect. But, with firing of Cerrato, hiring of Allen, Shanahan (and I am not a huge Shanny fan), the skewing of the team both younger and quicker, the draft picks last year, the riddance of bad decisions like Fat Albert, the signing of a couple of young and potentially great receivers, and now prospect of getting either RGIII or Luck......certainly there is hope in the future. A true fan (short for fanatic) could not help but be excited.

So.....join the bandwagon again. Never too late. Of course, there is the other alternative of continuing to be a voice of unreasonable dissent among the rest of us.....guess it must be nice to have so much time on your hands to allow you to post on a web site whose product you no longer support.....
