So....what are your thoughts on our owner? I know he gets pulverized in the media....and for good reason as his track history is anything but stellar. But, I see a lot of love being given to other's, like Jerry Jones, who is a disaster as and owner/GM (and, therefore, I certainly hope that he CONTINUES his stupid ways ala Al Davis).
While I am not a HUGE Snyder supporter, I do like the fact that he will spend money on his team.....just took him a long time to figure out the correct way to spend that money. We are not the circus show we once were....that has migrated to other teams. Since the hiring of Shanahan and Allen, I think he put us on the right path to a return to competitive football in DC. Even if you do not like those two, at least he got rid of Cerrato, and brought in an experienced team to manage the Skins, and has seemed to back off of trying to act like a kid in a toy store buying the most glitzy and expensive items.
I think the team is heading in the right direction.....and for the first time in a while I think there is hope for a team that will be competitive for a while vice a couple of years. If we are on the upswing as I hope, then not only do the coaches and front office personnel deserve recognition, but so does the owner who put them there to begin with.
Those are some of my thoughts.....What say you?

welcome to the site
I was originally pleased that a fan could buy this franchise - I've seen him hurt it so badly that I'm not sure I can give him much credit
I understand where you're coming from ... I cannot forgive and forget that easily
Snyder was and is responsible for too much damage to this franchise
He's shown some restraint recently - he needs to continue down that path
we shall see

I am one of the GREATEST Dan Snyder fans. Just read my signature. I do not have the time or inclination to debate your soft points on him. He is still a greedy and despicable person and employer but I could care less as long as the Team is not affected on the field.
Basically, the furthest away he is from any football operations, the better.

I think he means well with all of his actions over the years... but he has been a failure until recently, he wants to spend spend spend, get the biggest names he could from coaching down to the players, and thought it would all work.
NOW though, he has put in a great GM and coach, and he is doing what he is supposed to. Supporting them, giving them what they want and need. If Snyder can stay on that path, he will redeem himself to ALL skins fans in just a couple more years, when we are a continuous powerhouse in the NFL

that's what's wrong with him.

Thanks for the welcome.....as I mentioned on another post, have been a Skin fan since the painful '72 SB where we provided the fish with the only perfect season in SB era....which we are reminded of every friggin season.
I figure that most of us just want him to write the checks, and use that $$$ to hire smart front office folks, coaches, and scouts. Also, pay for top notch facilities to train......and make this into an organization that players WANT to come to. Your right that I only have soft points....really just wanted to see what response I would get as our owner appears to be a volitale subject with some ......Arrington, Riggo among the more noteable....and I understand Arrington's issue with $$$, but not Riggo's issue nor the statement concerning our owner has a "dark heart"....so just wanted to get others take on Snyder.

Welcome, honored fellow skins fan. Just a tip, ignore trolls in here the best you can (To be clear, I do not mean SkinsJock, RiC, Prowl33 or LPJ).
Have fun!

The three best moves Snyder ever made were:
(1) Firing Vinny [the second time]
(2) Bringing in Gibbs
(3) Firing Vinny [the first time]
The list of worst moves Snyder has made is way too long to reproduce here.

I love how redskins fans hate vinny cerrato and they praise Snyder for firing him. to me, the problem was never vinny. who hired vinny. twice. if vinny sucked so bad, how come Snyder couldn't figure this out in a couple of weeks as opposed to a couple of years?? he's the only football owner hiring him...that's a clue right there.
you can't win with a bad owner...or I should say it's very difficult and you could get lucky perhaps but the rule is if your owner is terrible than your team will be to. such is the case of the team with the worst owner in sports....redskins.

He may have done it, but Danny had to allow it.

I love how random people romp around another team's fan message board and make nonspecific arguments that ramble on until your eyes glaze over.
I can never get to the end of your posts, so you'll have to be more direct. What is your question?
