Anyone know much about this guy, he's started a lot of games in a similar system to us and i'm wondering if he's an upgrade over Jamaal Brown?

He's probably the most desiralble tackle in the league as far as we are concerned. He's a Texan who already knows our offense. They cut him yesterday.
Eric Winston, age 28, 6'7", 302#
Eric Winston is a talented right tackle who would be a great fit for any team running a zone-blocking system. He surrendered seven sacks in 2011, but four came when T.J. Yates was inserted into the lineup, so that number is inflated. Winston's best trait is his reliability; he hasn't missed a start since 2006.

Get him. No brainer. That is if the NFL gets out of our friggin pockets!!
Hey NFL, RG3 is going to be an ambassador for the game. Wanna help us keep him out of the Emergency Room???

Winston would be a great signing. Brown is either hurt, or when he's healthy, playing like crap most of the time.

Winston would be one of those smart free agent acquisitions this FO is becoming better at making.
It'd be nice to be able to run to both sides of the line, huh?

Was he just released for cap space purposes? Injured much? That's what I honestly want to know, why is he a free agent?

He's gonna sign with Miami. He went to the U, Miami is his first stop, and they want him and have a lot of cap space.

Had surgery in Febuary, was released with a failed physical designation....
Would still be a good signing!
