OR is he washed up....?
Lofa Tatupu plans to make comeback in 2012 A source close to the situation told the National Football Post that free agent MLB Lofa Tatupu sat out the 2011 season due to knee problems.
Tatupu had both of his knees surgically repaired before the season, and we suspect he was unable to pass physicals in team tryouts. "It was just injury-related," the source said. "He wasn’t 100 percent and didn’t feel he was ready to go." Tatupu is still only 29 and plans to make a comeback in 2012. The Bears, Redskins, and Raiders showed interest in Tatupu last offseason.

He doesn't come here to be a backup when he could go elsewhere and start.

Only as a back up and if he comes in at the vet min.....We will resign Fletch for a few more years with Riley being groomed as his replacement.

Washed up. He's played a total of 21 games over the last three seasons, and hasn't been anything special since 2007. No team is going to sign him to be a starter.

Older linebacker with bad knees that can't stay healthy? I think we learned our lesson with Mike Barrow.
Fletcher is the best veteran presence there is. The team should keep getting younger around him.

I'll take LB (NC State) Audi Cole to back up London &/or Riley. Could play on teams for now but is good enough to play if there is injury.
