Sorry if this duplicates an earlier post by someone else:

Home games: New York Giants, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, Carolina, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Minnesota

Well that's fairly brutal.

Away games: New York Giants, Philadelphia, Dallas, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, St. Louis

Well, I guess 3 of these teams suck now but we know how that can change.

I'm glad Pittsburgh is an away game. Hate seeing all of those Steelers fans filling up fedex.

Would be happy to see them play SD or Houston in the preseason. Would probably go to either game if so.

Also, based on the teams this year, we don't have the easiest schedule in my opinion.

What ever happened to poorly performing teams getting easier schedules the next year?

It never existed. Only two games a year are determined by prior year's record. It's why the Skins play the Rams and Vikings and the Giants play the Packers and 49ers, but otherwise doesn't do a whole lot of good.

Sweet Jesus I hope we beat the Ravens next year. Bragging rights for the next 2+ years!

Well, it did exist and still does but the above post is otherwise right on. Parity scheduling has been around for decades (huge in the 1960s) but got watered down - especially when we went to 32 teams and 8 divisions of 4 teams each.

Ironically, stronger teams often have the easier schedules. Think about it. The Browns have to play the Ravens twice but the Ravens don't. :hmm: They get to play the Browns twice. Also, bad teams often improve while good teams often fall off so these so-called "stength-of-schedule" games are often tougher for the weak teams than the strong. Tampa was supposed to be a tough game this year and the 49ers were supposed to be easy. It pretty much "all comes out in the wash."

Two much more important elements that promote parity are revenue sharing and the draft. Revenue sharing is around 50 years old and the worst teams have drafted early for forever.

Brian Billick once noted that a team can sweep its division and go 6-10. This was not the case when divisions had 5 teams. I'd love to go back to 30 teams with 6 divisions. The importance of division games has been watered down as well.

Redskins can lose every game next year, except for that Ravens game. Ughhhhh, I'm dreading that. LOL

God I hate the Ravens! Almost as much as the Cowboys.

Please visit Hate-offs threads in Around the League and vote. I'm about to start match-ups.

I think due to the past couple of years where the Cowboys completely choked my hatred for them has waned. The Baltimore Ravens are the #1 team I hate right now, just for the simple fact that I unfortunately live in the Baltimore area and have to have "Purple Fridays" constantly rammed down my throat.
