I can't find a link, but it was reported that when leaving the building, Torrain took twelve pitter-patter steps to either side and fell down. It took three tries to get past the doors before security punted his belongings toward the parking lot.
Best of luck, Ryan.

I'll agree with that ^^^
all the best Ryan T
I think that there are like 12-13 players on the 53 roster that were here end of 2009
going to be a few more gone by September of 2012
this franchise is younger and better since this FO showed up

Expected.
The only surprise is that he did not even make it to the end of the season this weekend.

Just curious, If we go 5-11 or 6-10 again, in year THREE, will you still be giving the FO the love fest? Just wondering because ive seen many posts about how confident you are in this FO with shanny and bruce, and at some point they need to be held accountable and produce you know... actual results.

I agree. We should not only criticize Shanahan/Allen for not being instantly successful in their first two years. But we should probably get a head start and begin criticizing them for potentially being below .500 next year.

You know, kinda sad to see the guy go but he did nothing to warrant his stay. I liked what he displayed in spurts and sadly it was just that, spurts. Good luck to ya bruh.

are you serious - you think we should start criticizing people for next year - before this season ends
give me a break
My opinion on the FO is only based on where we were as a franchise at the end of 2009 and what they've done since
If the team/franchise plays really well next season and the record is 6-10, I might have to consider the job the coaches are doing
the FO has made some mistakes but they have done well, replacing over 40 of the 53 players that were here in 2009
this franchise is looking a lot closer to having a consistently competitive product on the field than it has for some time
there HAVE been some terrible decisions to do with the QB here, but this FO has helped - the coaches, maybe not so well
I was not and am not a Mike Shanahan fan - I think he's arrogant and he does not treat players or the media very well
I am glad that we have Bruce & Mike running this FO and DO expect we'll be seeing the results on the field
bot - I think this FO gave Torrain a decent shot here and probably could have let him go sooner but did not
Ryan did OK here and hopefully he's able to help somewhere else if that is what he chooses

Looks like we signed Stafon Johnson to the practice squad. Former USC running back and a feel-good story. In college while bench pressing he had the bar fall on his throat and almost died. Had to undergo surgery and missed most of his senior year. Glad to see him getting a shot.

Wow.
Glad he was able to keep his career going. What a horrific story.

Clearly you are being facetious, So allow me to pick apart your very likely to quick response.
I did not criticize them this year OR begin criticizing them for next year, I merely asked if Skinsjock WOULD BE critical IF we have another bad season. Further, I don't think i mentioned anything about being "instantly successful" either. I was simply asking him a question because i have seen his very diehard view's on this FO, and SO FAR it has not netted us many wins. Less wins in fact than Zorn, Gibbs 2, or Spurrier. Is it not fair to wonder what progress is being made, and if said progress is resulting in tangible results, i.e. wins? If not... sorry if i offended you by questioning your uncle Shannahan.
Oh also... not to bummed about Torrain after seeing Helu and Royster. In fact, Royster won me a fantasy championship!

Whatever happened to Torrain anyway? I remember him ripping off some good runs last year, bowling people over, fighting for extra yards. Did his work habits drop off or something?

I'll give you 3 things that 'happened' ...
Hightower, Helu and Royster
The FO should be held accountable for what they do but judging them on wins and losses is only part of it
To date this FO has brought in over 40 players - this number is even more significant in that we no longer are seeing this franchise adding older players
We will have some quality young starters next year and some quality young back-up players
I guess the win loss record should be pretty good next season but this franchise is not trying to be good for just 1 season - these guys are looking to put a consistently competitive product on the field and that will take time ESPECIALLY when you look at how bad we were at the end of 2009 and how many players needed to be replaced here

Sorry to see him go, but not as sorry as I was watching him fail to produce.

I have to believe he wasn't showing enough in practice going off of what Mike Shanahan often stresses. Take in account the offensive line blocking literally changed to fit Helu and Hightower. As you know Torain was more of a north south runner.
Since Helu got the starting job he started to get those pitch backs and thats not Torain's strength to make guys miss. With very limited playing time seemed hard for him to get in a rhythm.
Torain was better at getting the most of his yards after contact and ran harder than the rest of our backs. Vision seemed to be lacking the last few times I seen him.

Obviously, there IS more to the story. With the flashes that he has shown, I'm sure that Shanahan would have loved to polish him up as trade bait... but clearly, there is a reason that he was simply released.

Not too sure. Torain has been used as trade bait before but to no avail. Take away his 39 yard TD run, Torain avged around 2.7 yards a carry this year. Royster gained 128 more yards on 3 less carries this year and some may consider hiim a north-south runner.
MS knows that he has 3 good RBs, 2 of which are 1st year players. We are set at the position. The skins couldn't get anything for Torain and Torain's release wasn't due to anything going sour with MS. MS was the one that drafted him and the one that signed him to the skins from the broncos. I think MS gave him his chance but he was just out-played by the other RBs on the roster.
