My Tivo went out at the timeout with 1:18 left. Looks like I missed a great finish. Great game though. Sucks we didn't come away with the win. Many mistakes that we made but we played tough. We are definitely playing hard, and whoever doesn't think we are an improved team has their heads in the sand.

Not sure I'd call it a great finish, chief. You might want to look at the scoreboard again.
An improved team, maybe. Where we should be three-quarters of the way through season two of the Shannahan regime.... NOPE.

We are working with an incomplete offense. We do not have all the pieces that Shanahan wants for this offense to be executed effectively. Our guys played their asses off today. Can't fault them for that because in my opinion, I was shocked they were even in the game. I expected them to lose and lose big. I'll eat crow knowing they played a hell of a lot better than I thought they would.

I thought the team played very well. Obviously they had some costly mistakes, but I wonder if Grossman gets hit in the endzone if Trent Williams was playing instead of smoking dope?

Big question is whether he was high watching the game, or high playing Madden during the game

Does anyone actually listen or respond to R_F anymore? Just curious. I actually thought he left this forum like a year ago.

Grossman needs the clock in his head.....no options, throw it incomplete or out of bounds.....heck, do something....

Good game by the Skins. It was just a bad bounce at the end when Santana's ball popped into the hands of a Patriot.
Loved the improvement. I thought the offensive line, considering its handicaps, performed very well. Grossman had a great day (for Grossman).
And what could I possibly add to Helu's performance? His play did all the talking.

Sure seems the zebras always find a way to screw us. Didn't show the replay call on moss but I'm fine with that if refs call it fair on all teams but they don't

Like the improvement in the run game. Helu is a stud.

We've actually had a good running game since Helu has been the starters. He's the 1st Skins rookie RB to have 3 straight 100 yd games. Problem is we have not had a passing game to compliment it. Not to mention scoring has been an issue.

Don't forget Royster. Looks like we're set at the position. I'm OK with the WR's we have on this team to include Hankerson. I'm ok with the TE's we have. I'm good with the D-line with JJ coming back. I'm ok with the LB's we have with Riley in the line-up. I'm OK with our depth getting reps. I'm OK with the safties on this team. This past draft is turning out to be the best I've seen in AGES
Draft needs... QB, O-line, shut down CB. We're not going to get everything in one draft.

My biggest disappointment is the fact that our Captains have let this team down this week. Williams and Hall's behavior is unacceptable. The "C"'s should be taken away from these two
Our special teams are on a streak of umpteen weeks in a row with an error. this week was two.

I was impressed overall with the team's performace against the Pats given our known shortcomings on offense and defense.
Got to hand it to the patchwork O line as unit.
Monty, Hurt, Chester, Polumbus, Smith? Smith? At left tackle?
I hope the Locklear project is done. Hit the street!
I think we come out flat too many times in games against high profile teams
Philly - us coming off the bye - Grossman 4 INTS We should have been fired up coming out the gate
Dallas - We gave them a 10-0 lead - Offense couldn't get started in the 1st Quarter
Pats - We gave them 14 points - gimme TD on the fumble - horrible, horrible tackling on Gronkowski. Deep pass bailed us out to get first FG
I am finding these seemingly uninspired starts puzzling. I can see a lot of guys figthing for jobs this offseason.

Agree with Rick Walker: find the guys who want to play football, and you will win some. Find more of them, and let them grow, and the Redskins will win big.
This was the team of guys who wanted to be there. Good for them, and I've already forgotten those two guys who got banned for playing with drugs instead of footballs. Who were they?

I was at the game so I am just now looking at the highlights on NFL.com.
On the Gronkowski long run that led to their second TD. Gomes and Doughty clearly blew that tackle, but Hall just stood there and didn't help and then he turned his back while Gomes and Doughty struggled to bring him down.
Not sure that guys with that kind of effort in a game need to be on the roster next year. Is that that kind of play we want from our veterans?

No. Although I watched the replay a couple of times and concluded that Gronkowski was down from the original hit...should not have been allowed to get up again and run.

Much less a captain?

Hall has been a problem here for quite some time. I think it might be time to say goodbye to him at the end of the season.

I agree. I'd prefer to take a small hit at CB with his release (assuming it might be tough to find a replacement-level talent) than continue to pay him lots of money to avoid tackles, blow coverage, and attract unnecessary flags.

I think everyone in the game and everyone watching thought the guy was going to be tackled out of bounds. Its easy to look in hindsight and think he should have piled on. In fact you can pick every play of the game and see someone not piling on each play...fluke play with poor tackling.
Hall throwing the flag is what is unacceptable.

Most problematic is he's not making the plays that would excuse the other poor aspects of his play.
