Which is the TRUE day of Rest that the LORD has instituted.....???





Exd 20:8 ¶ Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Exd 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

Exd 20:10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:

Exd 20:11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

I picked Saturday. Does this mean that I get to go to heaven?

What if God set up a Church on Earth with the authority to do things like this? Then it would be both biblical and God's idea.

A PERFECT LAW..........needs NO changing - not yesterday, nor today, nor tomorrow. No church on Earth has the authority to make such change.

Mal 3:6 "For I [am] the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple;

Since when does the Roman Catholic Church base its decisions on the Bible.

Are you aware that the Bible you use, minus the Apocryhal Books, is the same Bible that the Roman Catholic Church canonized in 367 AD and reaffirmed in 1546?

The Greek Scriptures (The Septuagint) are most likely what Jesus read because in Judea, written language of the literate folks was Greek. The Septuagint is most likely the Scriptures that Jesus read and guess what the Septuagint included? The Apocryphal Books. Apocraphal books are not included in the KJV.
Jewish Bibles do not include the New Testament.

Ok, Tribe, but I think you can bring more folks to the Light with a message that calls out in love rather than pointing to a Billboard that claims that the Roman Catholic Church is the Antichrist. I left the Catholic Church many years ago, and have no love for its politics, but I know the Roman Catholic Church played a significant role in the history Bible. Without the RCC, we wouldn't have the Bible that we have today. To demonize it takes away from the message that you are trying to convey which I think is the Bible holds the Truth (Correct me is I am wrong). To me, what you posted has conotations of hate and I don't think that that is the strongest message to attract folks to the Word.

You are sure that Christians don't recognize Saturday as the Sabbath, just because they go to church on Sunday (the day of Christ's resurection) as an homage to God's new covenant?

Not trying to rush anything. I was just pointing out that the antichrist could not have been present in 364 AD, because his coming will coincide with Christ's second coming and the battle of Armegeddon.

While I recognize the ressurrection day, it is not stated in the Bible to "honor" it.

Christ remained on earth 40 days after ressurection before ascending to Heaven. HE COULD HAVE said something about "this is the new day" about the 1st day....BUT HE DIDN'T

He had ample time to teach disciples about a "new day"........but he didn't.

Don't you think that SOMETHING AS IMPORTANT as a DAY OF WORSHIP and a change of it would be found in the Bible....???

There is no "new" SABBATH........... it remains the same from creation to eternity.

Show me a bible verse that proves Jesus "honored" the 1st day.

The point is six days of work, one day of rest. For people to say they believe for them one day or another is the day they want to do the day of rest is fine. For someone to say anyone who thinks someone else picked the wrong rest day and condemn them for that is just the sort of intolerance why I personally hate religion even though I believe in God.

, Tribe. I tought by posting that billboard you were endorsing the "antichrist" part of it. I do agree that biblical speaking that Saturday is the seventh day.

For me, I do not see the Bible as the Word of God - not even close to it. My belief comes from years of study of historical motifs, pseudepigraphal books, Dead Sea Scrolls and a trip to the Middle East (not with a tour group but a research group). I cherish the Bible along with the Apocryphal Books as resources written by humans for various purposes that give insight into ourselves. They are culturally biased and written for their time but have relevance today when used in the context of human beings. I share this information not to debate you, but to let you know where I am coming from.

I do respect where you are coming from and I do applaud your zeal you have for what you believe is the truth. With that I say, "Go ye therefore and spread the Gospel.

Would the NFL have to move games to Saturday?

Is Saturday or Sunday a work day for all those involved in games and stadiums?

If Saturday is taken over by the NFL, Would the NCAA move to Sunday?

Well, just a bit: I need to know which are Jewish shops to visit them on Sunday and which shops are not to visit them on Saturday when I work in NY.

Everybody should have a day off every week though.

Seminaries often allow folks willing to pay their own way to go on their trips to the Middle East and Europe. Usually, they go during their January terms when the costs are not as high as usual. You would have so much more access than on a church tour because most seminary profs who lead the tours were at one time living and doing research in the Middle East, so they have the contacts to get you into places tourists are restricted. Everybody goes to the Masada, but with us, you got to go to the Herodium which was not open to tourists because of protests going on at the time. L

Anyways - Call up a seminary and ask if they have any Holy Land trips and ask if the public are allowed to come. Don't limit yourself to just the Holy Land. There is a rich church history in Greece as you well know. The trip or trips will be well worth it.
