Branching Out

Post by BossHog »

Just a heads up about a couple of things...

In our efforts to always stay current, and pertinent - we're always trying to expand what we do. We're always trying to give Redskins Nation more stuff to bleed that burgundy and gold on. So...

I have been a regular on Brian Mitchell's awesome Tailgate Show the last few weeks, and I think you will likely find me there more Friday nights than not. The show is for IPTV, and you can catch it at 7pm Fridays on Bmitchlive.com. Hit the blogger for more info on the shows what was covered etc. On last night's show, I was joined by long-time board member and friend to THN, FrankCal20 <- he did a bang up job and did THN proud.

We have also added a couple of new bloggers, and I will likely add one or two more. I saw that cvillehog posted a thread about his first submission, and I'm sure anyone who read it, would agree that it was really good stuff. Tony has been coming here for about 7 years, and I was tickled pink to see him not only make a blog entry, but make a great one.

You'll also find blogs from a guy named Sean Bishop who has now written 3 or 4 blogs for us. Sean is passionate as hell, and I really like what he is bringing. Please check out his blogs as well.

If you haven't already checked out the cross-promotional blog that I set up with 5 other guys for our Game Day preview - you really should. I think it's a quality piece and a must-read for any Redskin fan. The piece comes out on Friday - some time between 9am and 1pm - depending on when I receive the other guys' individual head-to-head match-ups. Please check it out and let us know what you think - so far the feedback has been extremely positive.

It bears mentioning that there are likely a lot of THNers that have more in them than just writing board posts - please don't be shy. Drop me a line and let me know that you're interested in blogging some pieces before you run off and try and start up a blog yourself. I can set up blog accounts in less than 5 minutes, and on top of ease of start-up, you can count on your blog getting a little more noticed being at a site that has been around for nearly a decade. Holler if you're interested - never bite your tongue.

Whenever I get to chat with my Redskins peeps, they always ask me why I'm not around... I am around - I just don't have time to do everything. I can't post regularly on the board because I'm maintaining our Twitter account ( @TheHogdotNet ), our Facebook account, managing the site, doing TV shows, and writing 3 or 4 pieces a week. If you can't find me - then you're not looking very hard. It isn't malice that keeps me away from the board, it's having too many other things to look after. I am blessed to have such a great group of guys moderating this board so that you all have a place to call home - they don't need my help looking after the house, and I can count on them to free me up to get everything else done.

There's more coming, but that's it for now. Keep your eyes peeled, and know that your friendly staff here, are still grinding daily to bring more Redskins news and information to you.

Hail brothers and sisters.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

People may not remember exactly what you did

~BUT~
they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.
