Hey Skins fans. I have uploaded a recording of a WMAL compilation of the 1982-1983 season to Youtube. I was seven when this happened, and for those of you under 35, you can listen to the great highlights of that season from Frank, Sonny, and Sam. It has been a long time since the glory years, and while the team is rebuilding, it is great to hear what a Super Bowl season sounded like. Enjoy!

Welcome to the board.. I was disappointed honestly. Audio was blah but I tried to get past it.. Actual game footage woulda been a plus at least a slide show w more pics. Maybe my connection was weak but I don't think so. Stayed on the same pic too long and I just couldn't get into it.

I had access to season tickets... and the players went on stike... BAH! Spent the SuperBowl watching it with my Mom and Dad... took 3 hours to get back to Ft Belvoir because of the traffic! What a trip!

It was recorded from a limited edition 1983 LP (vinyl record) and the material came from AM radio broadcasts, so the audio was not great to begin with. As for footage, I don't have access to that and it would have interrupted the LP. I listened to this record 1000 times as a kid. The feel is the beauty of it. You have to imagine, just as you did when listening to the radio, the game.

I was fortunate enough to have attended most of those games, from 82' to 92', including the great playoff games and the NFC championship games. What fond memories indeed ... there was no place like rockin' RFK in the old glory days.

The downside is that it's more painful to watch what has occurred since then, as I grapple with the possibility that both the Redskins and Myself may indeed have our best years behind us.

And the energy was never the same in Fed EX. I hate even saying that name. A really good man that claimed he was a Redskins fan; would have kept the name JKC Stadium.

I hear ya and feel the same way. I probably won't live long enough to see the Skins win another SB :0(....

I'll never forget The Run. Also, oddly, Joey T's leap to stop a blocked pass from being intercepted. Ah, that final quarter, the Riggo Drill...diesel horns...that whole playoffs won without Art Monk, who broke his foot making a circus catch about the last regular-season game...causing the All-wise Experts to insist that all four opponents would simply throttle the Redskins power running game.
