Roy Helu a finalist for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week
By Mike Jones

Washington Redskins running back Roy Helu is a finalist for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week honors, the NFL announced today.

Helu, who made his first start Sunday, recorded 14 catches for 105 yards and carried the ball 10 times for 41 yards in Washington’s 19-11 loss to San Francisco. His 14 receptions set a franchise single-game record that previously belonged to Art Monk, who recorded 13 catches in a single game twice, and Kelvin Bryant, who achieved the mark once.

Other finalists for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week honor are Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton, Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones, Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray and Arizona Cardinals punt returner Patrick Peterson.

Fans can vote for Helu by going to www.NFL.com/rookies. The winner will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.

Dont reward a man for fumbling and those was the least impressive 10+ catches ive ever seen. You get the ball that much in open field one should go to the endzone at least .

Roy shows promise but I aint giving him no props for the last game and not voting for no skins probowls unless we start giving more extra effort.
