He's Canadian you know...

I own a design company. We do some printing in house but we used to outsource most of it and we focused on the design work. In May I bought a printer so we could sell design work to their customers and do more of our production in house to reduce cost. Things have worked out well, we're making more money. Yes, I am a greedy capitalist and darned proud of it.
At the company I bought the adopted brother of the prior owner's wife worked for the business and I kept him on. I don't know the story but he was adopted from a family in Canada. He's not retarded, but he's kinda slow and he looks to be blunt creepy. But he stays in the back away from customers doing bindery and other basic tasks. As you get to know him he's actually a decent guy, but you know something's wrong with him just to look at him.
In discussing him and what's wrong with him the owners I bought the business from always started with he's "Canadian" as if that explained something. So I started exaggerating it. When that he doesn't look normal comes up I sort of lean over and say in a quiet voice, "He's Canadian you know..." What's funny is they always nod with a knowing look and say "aaahhh" as if that explains it. Actually no one has asked what that has to do with it. It cracks me up, so I posted it.
