Orakpo - NFC Defensive player of the week

Post by ATX_Skins »

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/ ... er-of-week

2.5 sacks, five tackles (two for a loss), three quarterback hits and a forced fumble in the game and now has 3.5 sacks for the season.

Not too shabby!

Side note.. I saw yesterday Mortenson has Kerrigan as best defensive rookie so far.

Must be nice to have STUDS huh?

Thank me for his production. I commented on his lack of production before the game. He can make me a liar, anytime I do that. With my blessings.

Next week can you mention that Grossman sucks before the game?

Yeah, and ib said he would never be elite until he developed a second move instead of just speed rushing people.

I forsee Landry getting in on some of that DPW action soon too.
It IS nice seeing our defense become formidable.

only slightly off topic - this defense is most likely going to continue to get better
OR at the least, will continue to play very well & continue to show that this Haslet managed defense is a VERY good defense

The defensive players here are all giving credit to their coach

Jim Haslett will be offered a HC job before Greg Williams
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

That team would be complete dummies because Haslett suuuuuuucks as a HC but he's pretty good as a DC. That's one DC, that needs to stay in DC. @me.. corny rite?

These players have all indicated that they really have been helped by having Haslett stick with what he believes in and continuing to support all of them in adjusting to this defense

The effectiveness of the defense and the perception that Haslett will be a good HC again, have led many to speculate that he'll get one of the jobs that are going to be available at the end of this season

I have always liked this guy and hope he stays here and helps us - we're better on defense with him at DC
Landry, Orakpo & Kerrigan think he's the reason we're a top 5 defense

Haslett is going to be a HC again and maybe as soon as next year
