ey wants to beat Romo himself, but not just on the football field. He said he would relish getting into a cage with him.

"For me to beat Tony? I'm gonna be honest, I don't know what kind of cage fighting skills he has," ey told the radio station. "I would probably try to incorporate my wrestling ability, like when I was in high school. Obviously it's been awhile, but I didn't like to beat people fast. I like to embarrass 'em a little bit. Like, take a 24-point lead, and then just play with it a little bit."

How could any Washingtonian not love ey????

I love cooley as much as the next guy, and I'm glad he does have some disdain for the cowboys, but I just feel like this may give him a bad name and make it look like he comes off as a punk. That being said, I'd still buy the PPV tickets to the cage match!

Bragging about another team's victory seems kind of lame, especially when your team had the chance to close out a win over the same team and let a lead slip away. If Romo were inclined to actually respond to this, all he'd have to say is "scoreboard", and it is infuriating that he'd be right.
How about actually beating the Cowboys instead of talking smack about someone else doing it?

From reading what he said it was all in good fun, kind of. The media is definitely reaching with this one. Of course everyone is now clowning ey on PFT because he doesn't even have 100 yds receiving this year.

Whatever, I like the comment, and could care less if people think he's a good guy or not. I like the team this year. Next time around, Cowboys wont be winning.

I think this was on the Lavar and Dukes show a week from past Tuesdsy. Dukes is a big MMA fan and some how they led CC into making those statements. He said everything with a great amount of mirth in his voice and that light heartedness didn't come across in the article.

ey was just goofing around (but he did seem to take some genuine pleasure in Homo throwing up all over himself).

I like that shanny does have a big mouth like Rex Ryan but I also like our guys fired up. Its as much hype now then ever eys a great character and having fun with your work but being serious about it makes for better workers.
Now I'd like to see chomo in a cage match too glad he sucked up the cowboys lead aswell... Cowgirl fans are awfully quite this week

George Allen wanted to fight Tom Landry at midfield. This isn't a generational thing, it's a Dullass Vs. D.C. thing. I think it's great!

ey is a well known commodity in the league. It's not as if he's a consistently mouthy, and brash thug. He's a character, but has never before had a real problem whith his mouth.

Only an idiot (or some other sort of Cowboys fan) would think he was a punk.

I think we all agree that seeing Dallas lose, especially in humiliating fashion, is the next best thing to seeing the 'Skins win.

I also don't have a problem with Allen challenging Landry, b/c that's at least head-to-head, face-to-face smack talk.

Where I draw the line is seeing 'Skins players getting giddy about another team's victory in public.
It reminds me of a situation where the little brother (the 'Skins) who just got beat up by the school bully (Dallas) gets excited and talks smack when the bully gets beaten up in turn by the big brother (Detroit).
Is this what it has come to? The Redskins need the DETROIT FREAKIN' LIONS to do their dirty work where the cowpies are concerned? JKC must be rolling over in his grave.

while I understand, and actually agree that it would be far more validating to see ey and Co. drag personally drag Dallas through the mud, frankly, I don't see how you might intend to enforce your "line that you have "drawn". I suspect that you'll simply have to deal with it.

But good point, I think that's exactly what the Redskins need is a smack-talking coach like Rex Ryan (or his daddy, for that matter). Just look how many championships they've won with their coaching style!

You are right. I will have to add this to the list of things that I simply have to deal with. Fortunately, I've gotten quite good at that here behind my keyboard.

I don't have a problem with smack, as long as it is backed up. ey should have talked more after his 3 TD game against Dallas in Parcells' last season, but doing it now as a mostly backup TE/FB with under 100 receiving yards for the season and 0 TDs is just ridiculous. Smack should have bite, and ey's comments are weak sauce in light of his on-field performance this year (I know he's coming off an injury). Having said that, I also think that I am probably taking them out of their original context to some extent, I'm sure they came about as a result of him getting caught up in the moment behind the mike on a comfortable radio show.

You're going to have to talk to Kyle about ey not catching anything. It is kind of hard to grab many balls when you get to run TWO pass plays all game. Not two types, but two plays. ey got to go out into the pass pattern twice against the Rams.

They seriously need to figure put a way to get ey more involved. He can only do so much with two opportunities.

Seems to be obvious that the staff prefers Davis' athleticism and speed at the TE position. ey hasn't really played very much TE at all this year, and I don't see that changing unless they incorporate more 2 TE sets or Davis gets injured (hopefully not the latter)
