As much as I loved big Stephen Davis when he played for us, I find it perplexing, to say the least, that he's a First-Year Hall of Fame Candidate for the class of 2012.

Stephen Davis was a good player, but not a Hall Of Famer. If players of his caliber get voted in, the Hall will mean nothing.

Again, I liked his time with the team and liked him as a player, but not HOF worthy.

I loved Stephen Davis while he was with the skins, but in no way is he HOF material.

I don't think this is even debatable. I highly doubt he'll get voted in this year or any in the future.

Yeah. It was pretty pathetic. He didn't even fight back (at least it didn't look like it). He layed there taking shot after shot to the head.

They nominate a few of these types every year. Some chaff to sort out, to make it look like they're accomplishing something.

I agree. He was a good player, but HOF? Joe Jacoby's not even in the HOF. Steven Davis? Even the nomination is hard to see.

The Hall keeps trying to call Brown but he can't hear the phone ringing.

Sorry, I don't share that view. I never "wanted" his jersey. I don't recall his flash and speed and power....... and frankly, I don't know why.

Anyhow, yeah there are too many great Redskins not in the hall yet. No way should Davis go ahead of them. Too many to list. I actually think Dexter should be considered too along with the other greats.

Without looking up the numbers, because that would take effort, I just don't see how Stephen Davis is a hall of famer. I loved #48, and agree that Spurrier's decision (like every spurrier decision about anything ever) to let him go was piss poor, but that just makes him special to me, to us. (You know, that is the only thing I will never forgive snyder for. The rest is at least possible, but him for hiring that phallus.) Hall of Fame is another thing altogether.

I want Mann and Manley in together at the same time, because that is how I will always think of them. I forgot how much I missed that kind of D-line domination.

Yep and if he doesn't "jump out" of my memory as being THE GUY in DC, then he didn't WOW me........ He was just ok, not great....imo
