Devil is in the details

Post by HarleyHog »

On a number of plays, especially early in the game, I saw redskins players lose their footing. A couple of running plays wasted nice running lanes, and a couple of Cowpile completions were aided by having the redskins defender on the ground. This is an issue I have noticed in the past when we have played on turf. Don't the equipment managers know what length and style of cleats works best on a given surface?it might behoove them to look at what the home team uses. Bad footing makes quite a homefield advantage.

Has anyone else noticed this trend?
It seems like a stupid detail to overlook, and I don't know that my assessment is right, but several plays can certainly alter the complexion of the game, and I really don't see the problem pestering the home players.

What do you folks think?
