Dallas Game and Prediction Non-Troll Version

A month ago I was chalking this up as a loss. But we are playing fairly well and Dallas is on the ropes. My one fear is the "wounded animal" effect. We must step on their throat while we can.

I see this as a toss-up and picked us a hair with my heart. Is this the Cowgirls' home opener?

We have to worry about Ware and we have to stay aggressive. We can't let them run on us. They often do but get pass happy. I hope they do that again - the more shots at Romo the better.

Let's take their heart away. With 5 minutes to go and a 20-17 lead we drive for a TD and win 27-17.

fully agree. the true definition of a trap game. ill feel good after we win this one. had my hopes stomped one too many times to feel that this team has arrived. stay focused, play fundamental football and take command in the east. is it Monday night yet?

I am going to say that we run on these guys as well. So far, preseason and regular season, we have run well on 3-4 teams.
Concerns: Rex seems to start games off slow. Only in the preseason Steeler game did he have a great game from start till he was finished for the night. AND that was against a vanilla D. He started slow in the Raven game, Giant game and Cardinal game when defenses were playing more schemes.

I am going to say Rex finally starts off well and finsihes well because he remembers the first half debacle in Dallas last year. He has got to be psyched up for this one.

I expect history to repeat this year as we go 3-0 for the first time since we made it 3 -0 in Dallas in 2005 (Deadskins corrected me on this - it was 2-0 after beating Dallas -so let history repeat itself with us staying undefeated after going to Dallas) :) . Redskins 27-24.

We've only played 2 games that count plus the pre season practice games

we're undefeated this year

NOTHING else matters - this game will be decided by the players and coaches on the field on Monday night
NOT by players or coaches from the past

I predict that Tony Romo won't finish the game. This will be the first time the team has played on astroturf which makes fast guys even faster. The Cowboys can't stop the running attack of Hightower and Helu. Redskins 31 Cowboys 13.

I'm inclined to believe that we will have the lead at the half and hold off the Pies' comeback attempt.Skins 34 cowpiles 26 . Skins TOP 37:22 Grossman 28-41 311yds
2TD. Helu rips off a BIG run to the house.

Dancing in the streets.

We made it 2-0 in Dallas in 2005. We then won the next week too, to go to 3-0.

I see this as a loss. Dallas is good, it is their home opener, and the Redskins have not proved they belong yet. I can easily see many scenerios in which the Redskins win this game but I can not logically come up with an argument that they will win.

Now, my heart, well that says Redskins 35, Dallas 17. Hail to the Redskins.

Maybe. But I did lay down $6 at Bodog before the season that the Redskins win the NFC East - pays $118 if they do. I still think they could make a play for the division this year but I need to see them beat a team like Dallas in their house before I get any more drunk off the Kool Aid.

I see this one the same way I saw the Giants game. Initially I thought this game would be a tough one to pull out, but now with the Cowgirls so beat up on the offensive side of the ball, I am expecting a win here. Going to be a slugfest, old style NFC East grind it out game with us coming out on top 23-13.

Thanks for the correction. Now I understand why I had trouble placing the chants of "Three and Oh" at the Seahawks game at FedEx.

C'mon Cleg! Set your heart free and go with it! :)

Logical reasons the Skins will win in Dallas

1. "Any given Sunday..."

2. Cowboys are the most injured team in the NFL

3. A healthy Romo is 4-4 in Redskin games - Romo is injured and will have a hard time matching his average record against us.

4. Miles Austin is out, Dex Bryant is questionable, Jason Witten has banged up ribs as well. Felix Jones has a seriously sore shoulder (That's a lot of offensive weapons hurt)

5. Secondary is banged up and was weak anyway

6. Skins are playing good disciplined football right now.

Certainly a win in Dallas isn't a given (See "Any Given Sunday), but surely from the list above you can find one logical reason(s) that the Skins will win.

Those are all reasons why this should be a win. Until we come up against a good team in good health I see us in a position to win. We probably don't win against, say, new England, unless they cool down, but 4-0 seems do-able.

All four guys on NFC Playbook (NFL Network) picked the Skins over Dallas. That has me concerned more than anything I've seen on the field. :?

When Sterling Sharpe, Brian Baldinger, and Matt Millen pick the Skins it raises my eyebrows. The other guy was Joey T.

I sure hope we beat Dallas.

My prediction: Skins win by 6. 23-17.

Wierd feeling, huh? When's the last time that happened, but then again, weather predictions for the underworld are 100% chance of a cold day, so anamolies such as a full panel picking the Skins does not surprise me for today.

So much for staying under the radar as underdogs. We've been exposed. :)

Peeking around the corner I see. 4-0! Nothing like a positive attitude to start off the morning. I love it.

Speaking of playing teams in poor health:

Last year, we played opened with Dallas with an ailing O line. We knew what that led too.
We caught the Bears when they were in disarray with their O line (no injuries but it was a key to the win). Against the Packers, Clay Matthews did not play in the second half. JerMichael Finley went out in the first series. Several Packers were also hurt. Vick went out in the 1st quarter in the the first Philly game. Vince Young gets knocked out in the Titants game and Collins was already heurt forcing a rookie third rookie named Rusty Opie to play. Adrian Peterson went out early in the Viking's game. Jones-Drew could not suit up in the Jax game. In the last game, the G men were down to a third team center.

The only game we lost when the team had major injuries was the Vikings game and we all know that that game might have been won if not for the "Block in the Back."

We will beat Dallas!

No such luck with injuries in these two games:

Matt Stafford came back in time to play for the Lions and played well - 4 TD passes!
The rematch with Dallas was after the coaching change and Kitna played better than Romo (this is why we want an injured Romo to stay in the game)

The "true definition of a trap game"? :hmm:

Um, for whom? Dallas? They are the favorites here. But I doubt they are looking beyond us, considering we've played them tough in the last few years.

And I can guarantee you that the 'Skins aren't looking past this one, either.

New England: Consider them cooled down. Bills red hot! Don't even want to think about the Bills yet. Dallas on my mind.
