"I want to get a chance to put my helmet on whatever’s hurt"

ASHBURN, Va. (AP)—Tony Romo(notes) has a fractured rib. DeAngelo Hall(notes) sees it as a bull’s-eye.
The Washington Redskins cornerback said Wednesday he’s hoping the Dallas Cowboys quarterback plays when the NFC East rivals meet Monday night—if only for the chance to inflict more damage.
“Absolutely. I want to get a chance to put my helmet on whatever’s hurt,” Hall said. “Romo’s ribs—I’m going to be asking for some corner blitzes. If I know Felix Jones’(notes) shoulder’s hurt, I’m not going to cut him. I’m definitely going to try to hit him up high, so that’s just part of it.
“If you know something’s wrong with an opponent, you’re going to try to target in on that. We’re going to try to definitely get as many hats on that team as possible.”
I hope he gets his wish!!!

Even if it is the Cowboys, I am not so sure that I would want to see a player intentionally hurt another one.

I always thought the term "BB" fodder was more an excuse to give stupid people to make them stop saying stupid things rather then actually being literally a "motivator." Anyone who's not completely motivated already shouldn't be playing in the NFL.

In regards to not wanting someone to get hurt.. if your playing against the Skins and your already hurt, I hope EVERY SINGLE PLAYER on our squad tries to hurt them some more and get them out of the game. Pretty much the same thing that they'd try to do to us. Don't be so naive to say you don't want anyone to get hurt, it's football... so when Landry crushes someone and possibly hurt them, lets see how many fans won't be excited. Me, I'll be happy.. not gonna hide behind being politically correct.. to heck wit dat.. I say crush his other ribs and make him think twice about coming back in.
I do agree with CT though about BB material, but I wouldn't have shy'd away from an honest answer either.

George Allen made a pretty good living... and his bulletin board was a pretty big part of it. You are clearly underestimating the power of a leader.
I mean... there's motivated... and then there's running-through-brick-walls, jacked-up!

I hear you, but I would argue he'd have had the same effect on building the team and camaraderie anyway. The bulletin board was one of the vehicles he used, he'd have found other ways to accomplish it anyway.
As you say as well, Allen was special. I think most of the time you hear it day and and day out it's not like that, it's just sort of shut up dude, you sound stupid.

Well... yeah... Hall should just... shut up. Even the thought of Deangelo Hall laying the "killing" hit is kind of funny. Kind of like casting PeeWee Herman as Rambo.

He isn't trying to hurt Romo as Romo is already hurt. He only wants to hit Romo where it already hurts. If Romo can't take a hit, then he should not be playing. If he plays then all is fair game.

I bruised a rib once and I'm here to tell you there is no amount of painkillers that would get me to play football during that time.
I think it actually got worse before it got better. I don't think Romo will play and if he does it won't be for long. If Sackpo or Crushhisribsagain get to him, Romo may be out for a while.

So I hear they are fitting Romo for a bulletproof vest to protect his cracked rib and punctured lung; any word on what they are doing about his limp wrist?

It's strange coming from a CB. How many times a game are QB's hit by CB's?

Old Los22 was the cb who did the initial damage to his ribs

It CAN happen that way, but that is far from the norm.

I think DHall is just getting in Romo's head. Gonna let the dynamic duo bring the heat and sit on a hot read for a pick six. Pie reciever corps is depleted, Jones is dinged, I like our chances.

Arrington ended Aikman's career. Orakpo or (even better) Kerrigan end Romo's?
I wouldn't cry at all over that.

Maybe Nield will land on him.
