Skins wearing gold pants today

Some people won't care, but I personally HATE the gold pants. When you are a fan of a team, part of that is tradition, and rooting for guys wearing a uniform from days gone by. As a Boston Red Sox fan I know that the current squad more or less wears the same uniform as Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski and other former greats...
These gold pants/burgundy tops combinations are inspired by teams of the 60's and earlier but I want us to go to the 80's and 90's classic uniforms. Those are the uniforms of our glory days.
Granted these are better than the hideous white on white combinations we were subjected to, but who else agrees with me on wearing the burgundy pants and white tops that made the Redskins famous?
Super Bowl XVII
Super Bowl XXII
Super Bowl XXWI

Do you want us to wear white at home like Dallas?

No, I would like us to wear white at home like the 80's and 90's Washington Redskins.
Failing that I'd settle for those unis away and burgundy on white at home.

Skins wore gold pants when we beat the Cowboys in the NFC Championship game in 1972 26-3. The beginning of Glory Days for me and a lot of other "older" skins fans.
Love the look - but winning is the main thing no matter what they wear.

I personally think we should wear the Jurgensen unis with the gold helmet and excessive stripes. Those are my fav.

I love the burgundy pants.
I'm sooooo tired of hearing about the 80's and 90's. It's gonna be 2045 and people still gonna be talkin about it.

I like the old George Allen / Jack Pardee era uniforms. The team is burgundy and gold...and they can wear the same gold pants with the white jerseys.

I admit that I thought Joe Gibbs was Breaking Tradition when we outfitted the team in white and dark red, more or less.
Didn't Joe have some theory about the white jerseys? Didn't he say that it gave his players a slight edge in seeing / recognizing teammates?

I like the Burgundy over gold, but it does not matter to me. However, SF55 is dead wrong about a lack of "glory" associated with that scheme. I'm sure that one of the reasons it has returned as a theme is an attachment held by GM Allen for the glory days under his Dad... whom, btw, introduced the helmet scheme that is still worn today...

No way! I LOVE the gold pants. Our colors are burgundy and gold, not burgundy and white. Gold pants every week!

Aside from white on white I have no issue with the uniforms
I actually thought they looked pretty good yesterday
I'd guess that this will be the same winning outfit for the next 3 weeks
