Top Five Worst QB Situations

I was thinking about this, and discussing it with a friend, the other day. What teams around the league have the worst quarterback situation going into week one. I'd rank them like this:

1. Colts: Manning is out, Collins just got there... it's a mess
2. Jags: Any time you release your starting QB between the last preseason game and the first regular season game, you're in trouble
3. Seattle: Not much to say here, except "Tarvaris"
4. Carolina: If Cam will ever be good, it won't be this year
5. San Francisco: The Alex Smith experiment hasn't exactly been a success

So, there are my rankings. I think they're fairly objective and the Redskins don't figure into it. Yet, to hear the sports press, you'd think we had one of the worst QB situations in the league!

How would you rank them?

Per Chris Mortensen Sources say Manning had surgery this am - cervical fusion with 2-3 month minimum recovery. No word on whether he will be put on IR.

It's Peyton... if anyone returns from this, it's him... but I won'd be surprised if his career is done.

That would suck... for a certain fan of Luck...

admit it... you're all thinking it...

Can you imagine if the Colts got Luck, and he's everything RedskinsTool56 thinks he is? Man, the Colts would have 3 decades of great QB play.

It would suck... but, it simply doesn't matter... no team is going to deliberately tank the season for a shot a player who could be the next Peyton Manning... or the next Ryan Leaf...

If the Colts are that team, it's because they have a fatal flaw... Fortunately, Collins is good enough that he will win games. At some point, he'll get the system down. It won't be the Colts that get the first pick.

They would win the Super Bowl every year! Because Andrew Luck is going to be the best QB in the game hands down! The best of all time!

I've heard people worried that his career might be over. Such a blow to the Colts who actually built their whole team around him. And didn't he just sign a new contract with them?

We might not be too far away from the bottom five, and when I opened this thread I figured we'd be there . . . but I can't argue with any of your rankings.

So maybe it's not so bad for us!

That was the same thought process I had… until I really thought about it, I mitt have put us on this list.
