LEESBURG, Va. - Police are investigating a burglary at an art gallery owned by Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley.
The burglary happened early Friday morning at The Cooley Gallery on 12 South King Street in Leesburg, Va.
Officers say they received the call around 7:35 a.m. and arrived to find the front window smashed and the cash register and computer stolen.
Cooley's wife, Christy, says the handmade pottery and Cooley's football memorabilia were untouched.
Police say that two nearby businesses, King Street Coffee at 110 South King Street and the Rouge Boutique at 17 South King Street, also had windows smashed in what appear to be burglary attempts.
Sources say the suspect was caught on surveillance video near the courthouse. Leesburg Police say the crimes are likely by the same person, but would not confirm if the suspect was captured on video.
The Cooley Gallery opened in December 2010 and features ceramics, paintings, photography, and other artwork.
