Post by cowboykillerzRGiii »

Treat it line a REAL game? Funny how the gayvn fans have made a rivalry out of preseason games that have had zero meaning to the team (us) fans included. NOW these guys are talking bog smack about pwning us and always killing us in preseason... Time to step up and whoop these big headed self proclaimed "rivals"? Treat it like a cowpuke game?

I vote yes f these baltiwhores abd stuff it to em! Especially thinkin they are on their way to the SB! Ha ha HTTR let's GET EM!!!

It's pretty simple. I want the Starters to be up by 17 points or more before they leave the field. That's a tall mountain to climb but it can happen. Defense needs to create a turnover or something. I think we have one this preseason which was by a 3rd string CB. Anyways, lets score some damn TDs. I want that regardless of who the opponent is.

ok - I had to even it up at 3 - 3.

I think this game is quite important - not for the rivalry (but it would be nice to shut up the purple fans with a win even if its preseason) - but for the Team's psyche/swagger. If we do well with the 1's going against the 1's that will go a long way to reinforce that swagger/confidence the team is developing. Only good things can come from that.

Asked again about his intention to take over the region, Harbaugh said, “... I’m told there are a lot of young people that really like the Ravens in this area"
For my part, I've raised my son right - to be a die-hard Skins fan. But watch out, if the Skins make the playoffs, I predict a lot of the Raven fair-weather fan base will revert back to the Skins.

Asked again about his intention to take over the region, Harbaugh said, “... There is a guy name Grady who coaches my daughter’s softball team. Shout out to Grady. He’ll get a big kick out of this. He’s a Redskins fan. ”

By definition... Ravens eat roadkill, for crying out loud. They are blatant opportunists, who will turn at the drop of a hat to Philly, Pittsburgh, or DC... depending upon who is winning. Quoth the raven, "Nevermore", dude!

In truth, I can't know what the situation is out there - I live 3,000 miles away. However, looking at it in NFL legacy-type terms...c'mon. It's the RAVENS.

WE are the B & G. Nuff said.

There is no rivalry. At least there shouldn't be.

Its a preseason game. A rivalry can't be made out of preseason contests, no matter how hard the BALTIMORONS want to do so.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

There is absolutely no rivalry between us at all. People try to build it up as one just because we're 45 minutes apart but that's all it is really. We in the DC area don't give 2 craps about them and I understand they don't care much for us.

So my choice was the first one.

I disagree. At least for us Redskins fans in Baltimore it's a ton of turmoil on this end.

So yes, I want them to stomp the Ravens into oblivion.

I want to see Flacco get annihilated.
I hope Torrain plays and runs Reed over.
I want to see our front 7, fully expose the Ravens crappy offensive line.

I PRAY THAT SOMEONE WATCHES RAY RICE IN THE FLATS ON THIRD AND LONG. GOODNESS GRACIOUS! That's their bread and butter.

Finally it's here. Battle of the Beltway.

There really should be no reason for this rivalry...seriously...different conferences. We should concentrate on hating the Cowgirls as they, The Steelers.

Check out our new Redskins/Ravens blog! Article on the Battle of the Beltway up now.

Sure it is a preseason game. I still will take a win if we can get one. In fact I would love a blow out. Would love to see our young FB blast Ray Lewis a couple times. Dont know if it will happen , might its possible.

John Harbaugh says Ravens ran over the Redskins
Every August, some fans and media types start talking about whether the Redskins and the Ravens have a rivalry, and other fans and media types chime in that this is ridiculous, and that they play in different conferences and have no shared history and just can't be rivals.

But at least the Ravens are trying. First they dumped Gatorade on Jim Zorn after a meaningless preseason win, eliciting a "Wow" from Phillip Daniels, and then Coach John Harbaugh pounded his chest a bit about the meaningless, valueless, pointless, does-not-count, will-soon-be-forgotten victory.

"We have had a good camp, it has been a lot of fun actually," Harbaugh told Ravens fans at the team's recent fan barbecue. "Guys like football, and our guys have gone to work....I thought when we played against the Redskins especially this last week, you saw that. I mean, our guys got after it pretty good, and we kind of ran over that team, and we're kind of proud of that. That's the way we ought to play."

The Ravens fans interrupted Harbaugh with cheers and he laughed.

"Yeah," he said. "That's what it was."

Someone save this item for next August.

I don't live in DC(have spent lots of time there with family/interning), but I know just enough not to really care about Baltimore.

I have a professor who is originally from DC and is proud to say he never once was in Baltimore except to go to the aiport a few times. He compared Baltimore to Little Rock on a bigger stage.
