Eagles' Patterson diagnosed with brain condition after seizure

One day after Mike Patterson suffered a seizure at training camp, it was learned Thursday that the Eagles defensive tackle has a brain condition called arteriovenous malformation (AVM), according to the Philadelphia Inquirer which cited a team official in its report.

AVM, which is the tangling of blood vessels near the skull, requires either surgery, radiation therapy or endovascular embolization

Eagles or not prayers should go out for Mike Patterson

Football will be on hold for him for now... Depending on the size, location, etc, he may be back... but this is not an "oh, by the way" condition... He'll be in my thoughts. Good luck, Mike.
