I think it is good. He should be fully healed from hip surgery and should be ready to go. Plus, who else is out there to fill our RT void?

Continuity on the line, young and has some huge upside. Makes a lot of sense.

Redskins agreed to terms with RT Jammal Brown on a five-year contract.

Brown wanted a left tackle job, but Redskins were likely offering more money than any other team. Though Brown started slowly last season coming off hip surgery, the 'Skins were happy with his progress by season's end. Coach Mike Shanahan will keep his tackles intact while overhauling the interior of the offensive line. Free agent Ryan Harris will have to find another club.

Rotoworld still at it, Brown said he chose the Redskins over Arizona, Kansas City and Chicago.

Yeah, I know that the Redskins make some questionable moves and we are all as angry about their inefficiency as anyone, but why is Rotoworld needling them?

Honestly, they just said today how desperate AZ was for a LT but Brown signed with the Redskins. Surely the *only* reason for re-signing with the Redskins must be because we blew everyone away with buckets of money! The idea he would re-sign because the likes the team, city, coach, or that he buys into Shanny's philosophy is ridiculous!

Brown said "The resume that Coach Shanahan has and the offense that he runs, it's something I want to be a part of."

Rotoworld is right, why would anyone want to sign with this franchise? Money talks and Snyder is notorious for overpaying guys. Why wouldnt Brown want to go a playoff team such as Chicago or KC who were after him?

The Resume Shanahan has? What exactly has Shanahan done post Elway? How about NOTHING...

What did Joe Gibbs do post '91...Just sayin. Don't knock a guy who's won it all. And won it all several times.

What do you expect him to say? People need to stop taking players' comments so seriously. Most of the time they are just repeating what their agents and the team pr staff tell them to say. Brown probably likes the town, his teammates, and the staff, and probably got a good deal from the Skins. It's not complicated.

First there is no guarantee KC or Chicago will be a playoff team this year.

Second, Brown knows this team, so maybe he has more trust in Shanallenhan than most of the media does.

Third, now we need a starting LG and backups at both tackle spots. Now with Brown you have a backup for LT, but you still need a backup or two for tackle.

Did Chicago make the playoff last year? I didn't think so.

How about the Chiefs? That's what I thought.

1niksder I would recommend you do some research before posting. Both teams made the playoffs last year. Chicago lost to GB in the NFC Championship game. Chicago won the NFC North! KC also won the AFC West and lost to Baltimore in the playoffs. Do you follow the NFL?

ha whoopsie la. There is still no gaurantee that either of the teams will make the playoffs this year. i like the idea of staying somewhere if you are comfortable with the situation.
