Cardinals Trade for Kolb

Cardinals acquired QB Kevin Kolb from the Eagles in exchange for CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2012 second-round pick.Kolb will land a five-year, $63.5 million contract with $21.5 million guaranteed to take over as Arizona's much-needed franchise QB. It's a high price to pay in dollars and assets, penance for failing to develop Matt Leinart and wasting a season on Derek Anderson. We would have preferred Kyle Orton for a mid-round pick, but the Cardinals are obviously sold on Kolb as the solution. Though Larry Fitzgerald is now locked in as a top-five fantasy receiver, Kolb will remain a high-end QB2. Minus the Eagles' dynamic weapons, Kolb's upside takes a hit from last summer. Arizona is more interested in doing well than having a great fantasy football QB
If rotoworld were really good at evaluating NFL talent, more NFL guys would be following their recommendations
rotoworld is fantasy world NOT real world

What part of their above analysis do you think is wrong?

Rotoworld say we over paid ($20M over 5 years) for a C/G that has started 38 games yet the Cards give a QB with 7 starts more guaranteed money ($21.5M) than the whole deal was worth and that a good signing. That's just h8n on the Skins

Maybe. But I would much rather have Kolb and that contract right now than Chester and his contract.

You couldn't pay me to trade with Philly for another QB

We picked the wrong one to trade for. I would take Kolb in a heartbeat.
