What will they do when the lockout ends?

No one in the media had any idea what Shanny was going to do in the draft... a week before the draft, the hot rumor was he was trading up to get a guy that fell to him just in time for him to trade down. So media reports and press releases will not help here, all the leaks and people with knowledge of the situation have proved to no nothing.

It's up to us to figure out what the Redskins will do, after all we know what's best for them.

Based on the reported timeline what will the Redskins do?

4 days after the lockout ends teams will be able to sign undrafted players. On the same day, teams will get a three-day window to re-sign their own players.

I think Shanny will go after guys like Ryan Hill DB from the U, Jake Kirkpatrick C from TCU, David Mims OT from Virginia Union and Pat Devlin QB from Delaware with the youth movement and the amount of money the team will have to spend< I could see about 15-20 UDFA coming in. While Santana Moss, Jammal Brown, Rex Grossman, Rocky McIntosh, and Chris Wilson should all be re-signed

7 days after the lockout ends free agency starts.

Shanny should go after Aubrayo Franklin NT from SF, Davin Joseph G from the Bucs, Brent Grimes CB from Atlanta, Ryan Harris OT from Denver, and Kyle Cook C from the Bengals.

Rosters will be set at 90 players 12 days after the lockout ends so the Redskins will need a few more players .

If you ran the team what would you do in the first 10 days after the lockout ends?

Bruce said we will be aggressive in FA and I believe him. However, it won't be blind/dumb aggression. We didn't address QB or O-line in the draft.

I predict that those two positions will be addressed heavily. A few thoughts...

- Albert traded for a 5th round pick in next years draft. 7th rounder if he plays little.
- McRibb to Minny for a conditional draft pick.
- Vince Young will be acquired if Tenn drops him.
- NT from San Fran will be acquired.
- Rogers will stay, Redskins will pay.
- Chris Jenkins from Jets if released, will be signed. Not to start but as part of rotation due to injuries.

Part of your wish has come true. Kris Jenkins has already been released by the Jets.

The game plan should be having Daniel Snyder be hit by a truck. The only way this franchise is ever going to be successful again is to get rid of the cancer that is Daniel Snyder.

So...

You have no plan is what you're saying?

Because I'm pretty sure Bruce and Mike can't do what you just posted.

My plan is SUCK FOR LUCK! Honestly they should sign Carl Nicks the Pro Bowl guard from the Saints. I wouldn't mind Malcolm Floyd for the right price. Aubrayo Franklin and David Akers (Who we wont get) This FA class is pretty weak.

Suck for Luck is more a no plan than anything else, Carl Nicks might be available considering the Saints made Jahri Evans the league’s highest paid guard and they might not want to tie up too much more money on their O-line. Floyd was given a high tender last offseason and probably will stay with the Chargers because VJ maybe earn his out right freedom as a named plaintiff in the CBA lawsuit. I hope Franklin is one of the teams first signings, and Akers won't be going anywhere.

Building the interior lines on both sides of the ball is a much better route than SUCK FOR LUCK

Good stuff 1Nik and CLL.. I like those ideas.

Grimes from ATL is a really good DB too.. he has experience and he can make plays.

I don't have any plans though 1Nik.. You know how I roll, whoever we end up with I'll be supporting bro.

Rogers will stay, Redskins will pay.

Zero chance. Shanahan apparently isn't a fan of his immaturity and off-field issues. With the kind of money that he wants no chance we pay.

I agree with zero chance. Also, J. Reid keeps bringing up that the coaches felt that Rogers was holding back trying to protect himslef from injury because he didn't have a long term deal. It's time to part ways with him and get a corner who can cover and catch.

No one in his right mind will give us a 5th for AH.
TN might also be interested in McNab
No way on Young. He & K, Shan would kill each other.
Rogers is gone.
Jenkins is too injury prone.

There is no QB out there worth signing.

Redskins Rumors On Twitter

With the new rules they will have 72 hours to negotiate with their own players, Skins will use this time on Moss and Brown.

Brown doesn't sign within the 72 hour period then Ryan Harris will be in play at RT. First one to sign gets the spot.

Expect moss resigned quickly. Were already working on a deal before the lockout.

G- Dahl from Atlanta is a possibility but havnt hammered down 100% yet

At LB some upgrades will be looked at but for now, it looks like Henson and Riley are going to get thier shots to show what they got.

CB wise doesn't look like we are going for a big name, content to bring back Buchanon and let him battle with Barnes.possibility of J.Wilson.

Money will be spent but we wont be putting a Madden 2012 fantasy team out on the field, No big name WR's.

Dirty 30 to be extended, Franklin is not high on the list,

they like Kris and grooming the Rookie 2 take over, Kris was brought in and told 2 spread the word 2 his bro

Concerning Frankilin not high on the list. I had a feeling that that might be the case. He is considered a run stopper and not a pass rusher. That opens the door for Kris who is a run stopper and pass rusher. Anthony Bryant probably played himself into the position of run stopper NT. With Neild as depth, who they say is a high motor guy whose motor never quits, Bryant starting and Jenkins coming in on passing downs, that is a big improvement over last year. The group combined probably is cheaper than Franklin which frees up more money for other priorities.

I agree, and I hope so too. If you're going to be a Prima Donna, you should at least be an outstanding player. He's good, not great. And his hands are just such a huge liability. No, he's not the only one responsible for our turnover issues on D, but he's the biggest one and there's no single fix. He's not worth the money and not worth the attitude.

I remember when Shawn Springs was hurt and still played his butt off for us.. like you said, a good player, not great but his attitude was awesome and he never shy'd away from injuries. Rogers, well.. you already said it my friend.

Well, I have to scratch Davin Joseph off my list if this report is true.

According to the St. Petersburg Times, re-signing Joseph is the team’s top priority. An underachiever to this point in his career, the former 23rd pick in the draft is expected to be a better fit for new offensive line coach Pat Morris’ power-based system after struggling in old assistant Pete Mangurian’s zone-blocking scheme.

If this is true, then Shanny is not looking his way.

Rumor is...

Williams and Brown at tackle, Dahl and Montgomery/Lichtensteiger (the weaker center) at guard and Lichtensteiger/Montgomery (in a three way battle with Rabach).

I'd blow it all up, and start with 54 undrafted free agents.

OL - Ryan Harris - Broncos

RB - commit to new youth - Royster & Helu, I like Torrain a lot but look for a good trade

QB - go with Beck, cut McNabb - hold nose and resign Grossman

WR - re-sign Moss and keep in slot, go after Rice from Vikings, throw Hankerson in there from day one

CB - stay away from Asomugha, he's awesome but will cost too much, try to re-sign Rodgers for reasonable $, otherwise go after Josh Wilson

In all close calls go with youth. Don't worry too much about our record this year.

Talk to Kyle about going long so often late in halves when a first down is crucial.

Trade McNabb to Minnesota - conditional draft choice
Attempt to trade Haynesworth.

Re-sign Moss
Resign Brown

Punter - Sam Koch (Ravens) College Nebraska - Let's keep the Cornhusker thing going in FA.

QB - young, low cost, journeyman vet, who Kyle thinks might be a fit for his offense.

DE - Cullen Jenkins - good in both 3-4 and 4-3. Can play in all our D schemes

NT- Kris Jenkins (Brother of Cullen - hopefully a two for one deal :) ) - Best pass rush NT available - play primarily on pass downs. Franklin made $7 million last year. Love to have him but costs too much for a guy who is only a two down NT. Bryant should fill run stuffer bill at a much lower cost.

WR- Nobody
RB - Nobody
C- Nobody - Montgomery should be our center

G- Carl Nicks and Harvey Dahl

T- Ryan Harris if Brown does not re-sign

LB - Stephen Tulloch (26 years old)- move from MLB to ILB - Very high grades against run and pass. Future leader of the D when Fletcher retires.

CB - Make a play for Asomugha - drive up the cost and bail. Brent Grimes. He can catch the ball and cover.

No to the Jenkins Bros. Too many injuries.
