Redskins to sell off chairs from Fedex field that were removed for the new platform. I think its pretty cool personally, would love to have this for the mancave even if I never use it.

Good thing... saved a couple of you from purchasing seats that have all the appeal of something from the closed down McDonalds in Lewiston, Maine...

I would get one.. it may not be RFK but its still where my favorite football team plays. I'm not just a fan of Redskins SB years, I'm a fan till death so I'd get a seat ANYWHERE they played. Like I said, its a Redskin seat for my mancave that would have skins everything in it, so why not a seat from where they played? Just cause we suck at Fedex? Naaaw, weak argument.

Buying a seat from FedEx Field right now is like buying a Danny Wuerffel jersey. It's Redskins apparel, but why??

RFK is a relic in DC. At some point that thing will be torn down or renovated. I'll wait.

Luckily this is a moot point because apparently people already bought all of these FedEx chairs. Probably the same people who bought pieces of the old Big Screen monitors.

Some of us just love the 'skins and like the memorabilia. If you don't want or like it, so what?! Why rain on our parade?

You don't like the skins or have a pseudo-political agenda to try to oust the Danny, that's fine. I'll continue to buy my 'skins stuff.

I don't know... it's more related to having a history with both RFK and FedEx. FedEx is a characterless hole. It's generic. It's lifeless. It has literally no soul. RFK? One look at the bouncing end zone seats says it all. I can remember a miserable, rainy game vs Philly, with Mike Nelms waiting to take a KO, jumping around, waving his towel... and being in those stands... bouncing at least a foot... at least it felt like at least a foot... and everyone screaming themselves hoarse. No one noticed the cold, nor the wet. No one minded the flying beer, or even the spittle. No one shivered... we were part of the game. That was RFK's character. It was loud. It was a miserable place to play if you were from Dallas, or Philly, or the Gints... if you were in those stands, you could influence the outcome of the game. You had a role in demoralizing the opposition. RFK had soul.

A few weeks later, "I right, 70 Chip" was immortalized to become one of the most shown plays in Superbowl history... and we were back downtown, screaming ourselves hoarse.

THAT is what makes memorabilia. I'd pay for one of those seats... and, I'd mist up every time I sat in it.

I'm not trying to minimize anyone's opinion on this... I guess it's just that my perspective is skewed by the experience at RFK...

I don't think anyone is trying to "rain on the parade" or criticize the 2 people who voted 'Yes.' The Poll raised the question "Would You Buy a FedEx Seat?" The folks who say No are just explaining why they wouldn't.

Sean Taylor played in Fedex, that's good enough for me. Shooooooooot.

We agree on that point. Sean Taylor was my favorite player in the entire NFL. He's been my Avatar since I joined this site (hence the #36 jersey). I still get sick watching his highlights. He could have been an All Time Great, and was just coming into his own.

I'd pick up his memorabilia any day.

Indeed. Thnx for the cap info. And, for the record, Smack threads aside, you do a great job staying on top of the Redskins' cap position. I consider you like the Bruce Allen of the Internet, very good with the contractual numbers, not so much on personnel.
